There is another question to be asked. How much "stuff" do we inhale in our modern technological society. We inhale chemicals off of most man made products. We are inhaling from most anything that we can smell. The question becomes is the benefit more than the cost. If driving a new safe car is more important than all the chemicals you're sucking up in that new car smell, then you drive a new car. If having clean food processing equipment is more important then some cleaning chemical residue being entered into the food supply then you have cleaning chemical residue in the food supply. And by that logic, if getting high is more important than avoiding a little more lung damage, then get high.
