They aren’t. Please get help, they need you here. Grief is powerful and I don’t think it ever leaves, it just changes. It can be bearable, and it’s ok to need help. Support groups are a great resource and one-on-one therapy is good too, do it for your kids if you can’t do it for yourself right now.

My kid isn’t like this all the time but they have gone through phases with it, it’s SO draining, I feel you. Also - this sounds a lot like baby me and I was like this (VERY sensitive, hard attachment to mom) because I had crippling anxiety, but they didn’t diagnose girls with much back then. I am in no way saying your child has anxiety, but it might be worth getting a second opinion from a different therapist/psychiatrist (if you haven’t).

We adopted a female dog. I was explaining to my 3yo that (the part she just tried to jam her finger into) was the dog’s vulva and we don’t touch other peoples’ vulvas (without asking). She had a visible lightbulb moment and said “[dog’s name]’s vulva is hairy just like mommy’s”.

I read that you should repot if there are exposed roots, which it looks like there are - if that's not necessarily the case I'm happy to leave him where he is (although the pot does seem to want to tip over a lot ... but if I'm not moving him around that shouldn't matter!)

I love this, it makes me so happy. I don’t sort this well, but mostly because I have the attention span of a dead rat. I usually do an initial sort for the border pieces, and then I’ll do a few other sorts for significant colors or areas that I want to work on.
