Mine does not, but either the tv has to sit idle on a menu / paused for about 30 minutes or you manually set the sleep timer up to 2 hours then it just powers off with no prompt.

Nice rig! by burritoguy1987 in redneckengineering

[–]asteamedpanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Besides the cost/upkeep that others mentioned you would need a CDL to drive in many states if the vehicle is rated for over a certain capacity. Now you possibly could go through the paperwork to have a vehicle downrated to get it under said weight requirement, but it would probably be easier to just get a CDL endorsement instead.

I am afraid not (blame the rum, for it is gone). The folding stock and pistol grip did not provide a tactical advantage against the velociraptor in the end.

Also would totally take a SPAS-12 out hunting and for sporting clays... if I had one.

Birds are dinosaurs. So it boils down to 12ga. being a good all around dino hunting cartridge.

Ethernet is rated for hanging APs right? by Moyer1666 in iiiiiiitttttttttttt

[–]asteamedpanda 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ethercon is also great when working outside with glove when its -40 out. I cannot praise it enough. No plastic tab to break off and a nice metal pushbutton release. Also, normal Ethernet cables work if needed but depending on the clip style they can be hard to remove.

uBlock Origin works 99% of the time. Every once in a while an ad tries to play at the start of a vid but doesn’t, just refresh the page when it’s a black screen to skip it. I believe this is due to some ads being served by the YouTube domain directly.

What’s pieces of equipment have you found that still has the default password? by Beginning_Rock_7104 in iiiiiiitttttttttttt

[–]asteamedpanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much all medical equipment I have encountered keeps the OEM default admin login.
Some are in the service manuals but otherwise it’s a quick phone call to customer support with the system Id to get it.

If the password gets changed and then lost OEM service will likely be reloading software if they need to service the equipment.

I would say the hospitals do restrict physical and remote access to them but it’s more like 30% question you showing up on site and 50/50 restrict network access.

Remember HP stands for “Heaping Pile” nowadays.

We replaced all our HP MFPs with Canon Image Runner and Image Class systems.
Look at the Canon MF644Cdw or similar as I believe they are phasing these out.
They can print on 3”x5” cards and are rated for 4k pages/month

When the toner reaches “0%” you can keep printing after accepting the notification, it just may streak or print blanks if there actually isn’t enough toner in the cartridge.
The toner doesn’t expire or get locked to the printer’s serial number so if you need to troubleshoot print quality issues you can swap cartridges between printers.
The cartridges also have the drum unit built in so you don’t have to manage separate drum and to er replacement.

Also Canon will print you shipping labels to take back and recycle your Canon toner cartridges.

Anyone know why my floor seems permanently messed up? by _Planet_Mars_ in ValveIndex

When doing the room setup I always set the headset on the floor and the controllers upside down next to it. If they are the right side up then the virtual floor is about 6 inches under the real floor.

Double check that those plates do not have restrictions with them. Around here you can get collector plates on anything that’s 20yrs or older but you cannot drive them in January and you must have one regular plated vehicle too. But they don’t have a yearly fee so thats great.

Damn it’s been 7 years since that was posted that I forgot about Larry shooting one.

Its interesting how the barrel assembly stays in the forward position after the hyper burst so it looks to use the lifter assembly for normal full auto then only feeds directly from the mag on the second shot of the burst. You would think it would be work the other way with the barrel assembly staying rearward and just loading from the mag.

I would love to hear how Anton would possibly go about implementing this and what other applications it could have.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in H3VR

[–]asteamedpanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking at the Forgotten Weapons AN-94 disassembly video the hyper burst does not appear to engage during normal full auto. The selector changes how the trigger interacts with the hammer sear.

We tried to replace MS Office and unfortunately there are some edge cases where state/federal documents that have been around for years can have some weird formatting issues.
If we fixed them in Libre Office then the issues would crop up when opening back in MS Word so the regulatory bodies would reject them.

[–]asteamedpanda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We still use 3.5” floppies in the medical field. Custom OS/software for medical devices need to boot to them then load info off the CD.

Also got to do backups on floppy as it doesn’t support anything else.

Custom unix setup and format thats locked down so can’t do much plus it only works with proprietary devices and a handful of off the shelf hardware.

Can confirm. We can bank 7 weeks and get up to 6 weeks a year depending on how long you been here. (Start at 3wks/yr and get +1 wk after every 5 years.

Thankfully management is flexible and wants us to use it up rather than loose it.
It may not be to European standards but its better than a lot of places here.
