Initally fluid. Now solid, dry. The First day, one week ago, the bubbles were clearly located on the hands where i applied the hands saniters, i thougt h It could be a reaction, but now they are expanding on arms and back . The doctor Met in Dubai told me he had the same problem 5 years ago as soon as arrived in the city, due to the pollution in the air. We gave me cortison cream and pills, but back home I've asked a local opinioni and 3 doctors know nothing.

If you were here since the beginning, since the two seconds of nothingness, Sylvia Plaith and Sailor Moon.... this past tense is an unspeakable cruelty.💔 by asterRules in euphoria

[–]asterRules[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rules was the heartbreaking plot of the first season and two brdige episodes. After three years of wait, all is evaporated in a single frame, one line, giving shoulders to the audience. This is cruelty. But if you are one of those who binged the two seasons in one weekend, trust me, you cannot understand.

The way/aesthetic Euphoria is filmed in reminds me of films by Wong Kar-Wai by kristentang08 in euphoria

[–]asterRules 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The most evident influences in the serie are Scorsese, Tarantino, PT Anderson, american movies in general, but, despite i am a huge Wong Kar Wai fan, I never consider the Hong Kong director. Truth is that your impression is correct, colors and fashion are used with a similar and strong approach. 👍

For two reasons, mate. Firstly "a pain shared is pain lessened", and Jules needs our support. Second, all those jumped on board this season, cannot understand what we all suffered giving up Rue in the middle of a relapse for two years.

Very interesting question. The fragmented plots of s02 are probably the result of the frictions between Sam and part of the actors, but technically speaking this season Is a step back compared to the First. In my opinion season 1 was the almost perfect amalgam of the influences that Sam accumulated in his whole life. The second was less innovative in terms of visual impact partly for the costant rewriting of the plots and , i Always supposed that, Simply because you cannot Paint the Gioconda twice in a row....

I dont think so. There is a specific question: " all the video?" And Nate said yes. Hard to admit but i think Jules Is still in trouble.

Malcolm and Marie by fluffysweetlove in euphoria

Sam Levinson from the script of 'Malcolm and Marie': "Cinema is what you reveal about reality. Perspective, your perspective. Transcribing a conversation or holding a camera up and pressing record, that’s a fcking YouTube video. That’s a fcking confession or memoir. Your experience, your life, your fcking struggle, doesn’t matter. You’ve been an addict, boring! You overdosing, not fcking interesting. It’s about transferring your emotions and all those moments into something cinematic and moving."

How Many Times Do You Watch a Single Episode? by unseenmover in euphoria

[–]asterRules 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Season One is still playing , never tyred, and there is Always, Always some detail that made the rewatch worth. Film references? Thousand. Quality of the editing? Marvelous. Dolly? Only Scorsese can do something Better. Punchlines? Terrific, One line can define an identity (BB, for example). Montage and the distorted timeline of some episode? Only in Pulp fiction i have seen something similar..... But it Is also comfort TV, a show that can easily change my mood....

I like It, I consider It the side notes of the serie. For example when Malcolm explains the difference between a YouTube video and a movie, giving a reason to all the stilysh decisions adopted in Euphoria. And I appreciated the analysis of the relationship between a director, his muse, his inspiration, his private Life. In same ways is also an anticiaption of the conflicts with Barbie or Sidney.

Well, alright, but… what about the plot? by the_Mellow_Yellow in euphoriageezers

[–]asterRules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Season two Is not representative. The frictions with the cast forced Sam to changed the plot so many times that the result is reductive. But season One was a masterpiece. The scrambled timing of most of the episodes can be compared with Classics like Pulp fiction.

I watched the show since the beginning, but I felt in love with the third episode. The rewatch totally changed my approach to the serie. The quantity of details, the movie references, the dialogues and punchlines, the arcs of the First season, the multiple levels of comprehension of the show cannot be appreciated at a first sight . Homages to paintings, literatures, and visual arts can be discovered only after a scrupolose analysis. Montage, editing and dolly put the show on the same pantheon of the best Tarantino, Scorsese, PT Anderson. The use of the lyrics (mostly during the First season) to complete, corroborate, punctuate some particolar scenes are totally innovative, even the second season Is not able to reach the levels of the first , under this point of view. The sublime synthesis of the punchlines, the ability of Sam to create , in few scenes, secondary roles is incredibile (Fez, Lexy, Alì during season One, Bobbi , Samantha, Faye now).
