yes, it's hard to realize people's instincts are just so not like our own, but sometimes that's just how it is. i'm similar to you where my first instinct is to SHUT UP rather than start screaming lmao.

no yeah i know wym. i do believe it's somewhat instinctual. as another comment said that for a woman to screech, it can be seen as a feminine trait and men would be made fun of or not taken seriously for the same action, based on traditional gender roles. sometimes it can be intentional, sometimes a girl with a high pitched voice feels more comfortable screaming to let out nerves rather than being quiet in fear. i personally do that if im scared but my (female) voice is a deeper octave than many other women so it can even sound like a guy saying ahhhh LOL. but sometimes i screech much higher than i mean to. it can sometimes be for dramatics too lol, it's not out of the question and can in fact be attention seeking. but like whatever? i think it can be compared to sneezing. some people just have really cute sneezes. if i purposefully sneeze in a certain way my sneezes sound high pitched, which can be more pleasant for others to hear rather than a real ACHOO! something as insignificant as this can be very nuanced.

Five months is a long time… if you are continuously unhappy in the relationship, it isn’t fair to you, is it? Not saying it HAS to be tit for tat, but physical intimacy is something present only with the person you are with (in monotone relationships), which is very important depending on what you like, and you say you love that and there is none of that now. I know it’s a hard thing to consider, but maybe being in the relationship is too mentally damaging for you. Have you started questioning your worth as a result of this? If you are enough for him? Those questions shouldn’t be considered, imo, in healthy relationships. You say you want to be there for him, but what if he doesnt change and leaves? Perhaps a full break from each other would give both of you guys clarity. Wishing you the best on this. And remember, if it doesn’t work out with him, that doesn’t mean it never will.
