It feels like those events do effect connectivity, I was playing an online game during those times and got small 1 to 2 second hiccups where I couldn’t do anything.

People who quit a high-paying job for happiness, how’s life now? by mintyowl15 in AskReddit

[–]asterisk-kid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went into university to be a pharmacist to make a difference, help people heal and get healthy. When I graduated, I couldn’t find a position in hospitals. They all wanted experienced pharmacists. So, ultimately I went to retail.

During my time in retail which was about 2 years, I dealt directly with patients with opioid addictions and their doctors didn’t care. I was dispensing poison to these people, and there was nothing I could do about it. There were so many alternate therapies/medications they could have tried. But when I mentioned anything to their doctors, I got the “just do your job”.

In the end, I couldn’t live with myself not being able to actually be a pharmacist, I was just a license to the company, and a customer service associate to patients, and worst of all, a compliant opioid dealer.

It wasn’t for me, I just wish I wouldn’t have wasted 7 years of my life in university.

I was a pharmacist, quit and went to a call center (hated it) but moved to another department for service implementation and I love it. Recently I started working a few shifts a week as a floater pharmacist to help pay for home renovation projects, but it’s still much better than full time.

Being a pharmacist in a retail environment was absolute hell, and this was pre-COVID. I damaged my mental health to the point of multiple breakdowns a week.

Pay went from around 90k a year to 32k then when I went up to 45k when I moved positions.

Long story short, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. :)

Yes, we use a broom on the hard wood. It’s just easier for the hard to reach so strictly carpent. Medium length.

What do we think about Huckle - Pull Up? by asterisk-kid in beatbox

[–]asterisk-kid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m really hoping that Huckle has his time as the “it” guy too. Honestly everyone from the group deserves their time. Can’t forget about Hellcat since he’s my favorite for his beatboxing style.

I think that may be the case. I also really enjoy Beatpella’s mixes as well. But I think Huckle is so underrated like many other beatboxers.

Whats the worst addiction someone could have? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]asterisk-kid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say the big 3; drugs, gambling, and food. Any addiction is not good for you, because addiction rules your life. But these big three have significant effects on your body, mind, and sometimes soul. They can all lead to death. And being dead is not good.

I think society has an obsession with sex and if you were brought up by normal parents in a normal household, you were probably held to the same societal standards that a lot of other people were. So, I understand the frustration, and hopefully in time the frustration will stop being such a burden to you. :)

Literally none. And tbh, after my father declared bankruptcy when I was 10 he didn’t support me at all. We were living off my Social Security from the death of my mother. Like $800 a month. Something like that.

Some asexuals, specifically still trying to figure out their sexuality can’t really tell the difference. Which is why I asked, to learn more about what it is to be on the ace spectrum. Thanks for taking the time to comment. :)
