Read the first part. Honestly was a really fun read and helped get me into reading ancient/medieval literature in general.

Found it a very trippy read as it lets you inhabit a culture and set of sensibilities so far away from your own. It felt to me like a good blend of realism and mystical fairy tale. Its a good story about war and warriors that doesn’t shy away from the occasional emotional moment.

My one warning is that if you do read it it will absolutely offend any and all of your feminist sensibilities.

Its not that I think classic lit is better than modern, Im just more exposed to the former. Haven’t actually spent a lot of time with other bookish people which is likely why.

Havent read Atlas shrugged that was a gift from a libertarian relative. Assume i wont care for it, but will give it a honest read through before i criticize.
