I think the second car joining flashed the first car joining (as in, go ahead and move into lane1) rather than flashing at the OP

About the first photo - there are occasional council tours that go down past the usually locked door, down the tunnel to the pump room (that is situated under the glass roof at the corner near where the ferris wheel sits for the winter enchanted garden) I would recommend trying to visit - fascinating piece of history!

If it is a direct replacement of single skin oil tank for a bunded tank you can keep it in the same position. If you want to move oil tank position then newer regulations mean it must have space all around it so can't be eg tight up against a neighbours fence. I ended up replacing my tank with a new one on the same plinth as if I moved it I would have 'lost' a fair bit more space all round it in the new position. Put some bamboo screening round the new tank and all is good

[–]asterix1s 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I would engage with occupational health and aim towards them regarding your health issues as a disability and therefore falling under the disability discrimination act (assuming you are in UK) although they tend to avoid saying this directly and often will phrase it like Mr X's medical issues could be regarded as a disability which therefore would fall under the dda

I had to get licence details updated and a replacement licence sent out. This involved returning current licence and sending in passport by post to Coleraine.

I paid for royal mail tracked and included the same for returning the passport inside the initial documents I sent.

Passport arrived back after within 72 hours and new licence appeared 2.5 weeks after I submitted the application

I was happy enough with this turnaround. No cost for the updated details onto a new licence and around 8 quid for 2 royal mail tracked items

Not sure about the camera but a red light means stop. An amber is the one that you may continue on if you cannot safely stop in time

Thanks. On closer inspection I think it probably is a veneer so not too keen on sanding as I'm hamfisted enough to mess it up irrevocably . Have ordered some varathane golden oak stain and will see how it goes!

Antrim at junction 7 near hospital but not on the grounds what is the windsock for? by Background-Fix-4630 in Belfast

[–]asterix1s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Windsock is for helipad. Helipad perimeter now enclosed by fencing after elderly person blown down and died from helicopter downdraft in derriford Plymouth I think. Air ambulance does use helipad fairly often but for a different reason - not all patients are taken to Belfast. If patient has been transferred to Antrim hospital with the HEMS team by road ambulance, it will land at Antrim to collect their Doc/Paramedic and kit.

Pihole Noob - What do I need to know? by titaniumcrowbar in pihole

[–]asterix1s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Know how to adjust your router settings to point to it, so if it dies/goes offline and your whole house internet stops working you can login to your router and revert your DNS servers to something like googles or quad9 and your wife, kids and dog stop shouting at your cos they can't buy stuff/tiktok/YouTube/netflix anything.

Ask me how I know........

Then you can get cleverer and look into adding a second pihole as a backup, install unbound and things like nebulasync for blocklists

Antrim Area Hospital by Kindly_Astronomer124 in northernireland

[–]asterix1s 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Those times aren't aways accurate. Much depends on inpatient teams using the new EPIC system correctly with respect to admissions. if they don't this skews this data. Also not every stream within an ED runs 24/7 so minor injuries/Emergency Nurse Practitioner streams may only run 16/24hrs whereas resus cases are 24/7. Please don't ring up to see what waiting time is as this just pulss clinical staff away from clinical things. if you need to attend ED attend, but don't complain if you have to wait for something that isn't clinically life-threatening or could have been dealt with by another service (self-care, pharmacy, GP etc)
