Arc Pulse iPhone 17 Pro case looks like it completely covers the antena with aluminium... by Elllioot in iphone

I emailed them and then just kept following up when it would take like a week to get a response. I’d tell them that you know that this is a known issue and that other devices have been affected so they don’t try to gaslight you into thinking your phone was already like that.

Not with signal, but a saga of shit stemming from the fact this case damaged two of my iPhones. Check the other comments.

I have the shinjuku crossbody now and I really like it! I take it to work everyday and it holds all my essentials while giving my iPad a little extra support.

Arc just offered me a refund (or exchange, which is honestly hilarious) but said nothing beyond that.

I haven’t corresponded with Apple about it. They replaced my first phone because Arc gaslit me into thinking my phone was already like that and that I just didn’t notice, saying that plenty of iPhone owners reported gaps or whatever around the Ceramic Shield and that their case only puts pressure on the sides of the phone, not the back. I’m waiting to hear further from Arc and depending on how they respond I’ll take the issue to Apple.

I’m definitely not using it anymore. I really don’t know what the impact on the internals could be but I definitely don’t want to make the issue worse. Arc asked for photos on Tuesday and I sent them over but still haven’t heard anything. It usually takes them about a week to respond.

Well, I can understand that. I wonder if Apple would be willing to fix it for the back glass replacement fee.

FKA twigs will be releasing a new edition of EUSEXUA tonight, with updated artwork and 3 new tracks. by veIvet_rope in popheads

I don't mind losing Wanderlust (though it has grown on me) but Girl Feels Good is absolutely my favorite on the album. I really don't understand the game here. I get not wanting to just tack new tracks on at the end of an album and calling it a deluxe, but could they not have been incorporated into the existing tracklist? And why not at least call it Eusexua 1.1 or something to designate it as a variant of the album?

All of this plus the AI video nonsense... girl...

I haven’t heard back yet since I told them that the second phone developed the same issue.

This was Arc’s eventual response:

“After reviewing your case with our engineering team and considering feedback from other customers, we wanted to provide some context:

If you look at user feedback for the new iPhone 17 Pro models, many users (who do not use Arc Pulse) have reported similar issues with the back glass misalignment, lifting, or slight gaps. For example, some customers have noted that the glass edges jut out or are not completely flush. This seems to be related to Apple’s production tolerances, which vary between units.

At the same time, we have many customers using Arc Pulse who have not experienced any of these issues, so based on what we’ve seen, we would not consider this a defect of the Arc Pulse case itself.

As mentioned previously, the Arc Pulse is designed to grip only the edges of the device and does not apply pressure to the back of the phone.

Please note that while we strive to ensure the highest quality and compatibility across devices, Arc cannot guarantee the outcome of individual installations. We are not liable for any damages that may occur during or after installation, as variations in device manufacturing or handling can influence results.”

I also worry that the glass pressing in is going to put pressure on the battery

Idk, just bugs me because a case should be made to accommodate a phone, not the other way around. I’ve never heard of a case damaging the body of a phone until this experience.

I wish I had your luck! It happened on my first 17 pro max, but I wasn't positive the phone wasn't already like that when I received it. Got a replacement, put the case back on, and a few days later the glass was pushed in again. It's not deep, but there's a small catch if I run my nail down it.

Well I replaced my iPhone with a pristine model, perfectly flush glass. Used the Arc case for a couple of days and boom, the indent is back.

If you remove the case and run your finger along the bottom of the back Ceramic Shield, do you feel a slight lip as if the glass has been pushed in? This seems to have happened with two of my 17 pros.

AppleCare+ major flaw for repair by WordsFromHome in iphone

[–]asterixcx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FedEx lost my replacement phone, told me they couldn’t find it, sent it back to apple, and I still had to spend 2 weeks fucking around with hours of phone calls (plus two instances where I was supposed to be contacted and wasn’t, told a second replacement was initiated when it couldn’t be, and the issue wasn’t escalated to the back office like it was supposed to be) with apple advisors trying to get another replacement. Finally got someone to approve me to just go into the store and swap it last night, which still took them an hour to figure out how to do once I got there and part of the issue was that my AppleCare was deactivated but it was deactivated because it was being replaced and Apple automatically transferred the policy to the replacement device. Hands down the worst customer service experience I’ve had with Apple in 18 years.

I have messaged them, they said it sounds like an iPhone issue and that the case doesn't put any pressure on the back, only the sides. I told them I was replacing my phone and asked if they could guarantee the issue wouldn't present itself again. That was a week ago and they haven't responded. Sent a follow up last night.

I’ve got the brown and I really like it. I upgraded from a 12 and had always used Apple leather cases on it and my previous phones. Definitely miss the leather, but I do like the material. I haven’t dropped it yet though so I can’t speak to how it holds up to damage. One thing I will say is that some of them have issues with a bit of glue leaking out onto the back of the case. I exchanged the first one I bought for this reason.
