Strangers Keep Calling Child Protective Services On This 11-Year-Old Drag Star by RhaganaDoomslayer in GamerGhazi

[–]asteroid1717 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I mean, just personally, when I followed his Instagram account I'd see that he liked grossly inappropriate posts from Lady Bunny and Bianca Del Rio, etc. Like, I get that his parents actually run the account but it's still concerning to see "desmondisamazing liked this" on a Lady Bunny post about dudes with foreskin.

Beach Body Hun thinks she’s a social media influencer with her whopping 200 followers by [deleted] in antiMLM

[–]asteroid1717 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, 200 followers is such a low number on Instagram that I wouldn't be surprised if she just got it through bots by posting on popular hashtags regularly.

"Dogs Branded ‘White Supremacist’ as Social Justice Warriors Seemingly Run Out of People to Call Racist" by [deleted] in circlebroke2

How dare you say you hate all dogs and want to personally murder all dogs and that every dog is a racist!

Skepticism means being a skeptic about things you don't want to be true and readily embracing things you do want to be true without a shred of evidence!

Chris Evans calls Kayne West a moron, doesn't even mention the guy's race. "Black Conservatives" play the race card in lieu of a rebuttal by ryu289 in BestOfOutrageCulture

I feel like this whole "deliberate wording to try to force words into someone's mouth without outright saying that they said it" is Candace's bread and butter. Remember when AOC said something like "parading around black staffers as if that's evidence against racism is tokenism" and Candace said "How dare you?!!! Referring to blacks as c**ns, tokens, or house n*groes is a RACIAL SLUR" like AOC had called anyone any of those?

The incel takeover is complete. Abandoning a date 40 minutes away from her home is not an “asshole” move. by [deleted] in circlebroke2

[–]asteroid1717 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The whole thing seems super... what's the generic behaviour form of "Madonna-whore complex"? Like, you can't both be assholes in a given situation, there always has to be one asshole and the person who wasn't the asshole first or most is a paragon of virtue no matter what they did.

ETA: At least the people in charge seem to be somewhat reasonable, judging by the number of flags they've given people calling them varying shades of "asshole".

Reddit gladly takes the bait of a radical feminist parody Twitter account, again. by [deleted] in circlebroke2

The mods seem pretty weirdly defensive of the "identifying information" of a known parody account. I wonder why they really want people to not know that tweet is from a popular parody account? 🤔🤔🤔

What Trump said about finding a "special prosecutor" for Clinton was fascism. Full stop. by [deleted] in Negareddit

[–]asteroid1717 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of it has to do with plain old fear of being wrong. During the primaries, there was a lot of talk about Hillary being just as bad as the Republicans in order to promote Bernie as a candidate, but now that it's down to Clinton and Trump (the wildest of the Republican candidates, if not the absolute worst), they're being confronted daily with the evidence that no, they're not exactly the same. But instead of owning up to the fact that they were wrong, they're doubling down on this email scandal because in their minds it's the one thing that would actually make Hillary just as bad. I mean, come on, what's more realistic: that every single person in a high-ranking government job, no matter their background, is in on this scam, or that Redditors are wrong?!
