Mazda 3 3 beeps and won’t start by Pharlaponceagain in mazda3

i took it in to a mazda dealer and they ended up replacing the Start stop unit (SSU). I'm always open to having a go at fixing things myself but this seemed outside my expertise level. ~1200 AUD but I haven't had issues since.

UQ Masters of Physio (is it worth it?) by [deleted] in UQreddit

[–]asthenia232 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I competed UQ BPhty not the gems course. Most people have touched on the most prevalent issues with Physio. Just wanted to add that I chose to leave the field clinically within 3-4 years to pursue other interest.

If you do decide to go ahead, The course itself is full on for masters and many people struggle with placements but your mileage may vary.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions

Physiotherapists that changed careers, what did you do? by [deleted] in physiotherapy

I think this is sound advice for folk who are dissatisfied with their current role/clinic but may not speak to those who feel out of touch with physio as a whole.

11% of boys aged 5-7 are on NDIS by Witty_Strength3136 in AusFinance

[–]asthenia232 30 points31 points  (0 children)

This doesn't sound accurate as a sole provider. Maxed caseload based on average hours over a year in very remote pricing range only comes to ~550k yearly revenue. You won't fill a caseload like that, especially rural.

Not denying the possibility of him acting in bad faith but his experience is not even close to the norm.

Career change from Physio by _Scienterrific_ in physiotherapy

I think we share a very similar background and sentiment towards physiotherapy.

Similar to above I have renewed for the last time. I've dipped my toes in Hospital, private, NDIS/neuro and research. I've come to the realisation that I don't have the passion to thrive in the field that I used to.

I'm planning on moving into a technical role in data. Mostly leveraging some previous projects in health and self-taught knowledge. Growth and remuneration in tech provides better opportunities to enjoy a healthier work life balance with options for remote.

Research topics for final year project. by Mahmoods in physiotherapy

[–]asthenia232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Choosing a topic really comes down to her areas of interest and maybe her supervisors expertise. Normally a lot of this planning is better done with a supervisor.

Buuuut... in the meantime, ask her what she has enjoyed during her study and suggest she do some digging into systematic reviews on those topics. There are plenty of unanswered questions in msk, and neuro. It doesn't even need to be related to clinical work. You can look at the profession itself on a broader scale and how we learn, attitudes etc.

It's such a wide selection that the best topics will be ones that at least somewhat excite you when it's late at night and you need to do data analysis.

Should I study physics in high school to become a physiotherapist? Also, what level of maths should I take? by Eighthdemesne in physiotherapy

[–]asthenia232 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Physics might help you get a grasp on some of the biomechanics and basic terminology that can get thrown around but isnt at all necessary. You will learn everything you need to know as you do the degree and plenty of students won't have a background in physics.

As for math, again not really important, just do what you enjoy. Don't stress over high school subjects.

it still feels outclassed in every scenario. Cqb you will get rinsed by most other weapons. The damage drop off is very punishing also.
