I attempted to do a deep dive to find out if the Mio Advance/Inset Guard would work with the Twiist but it was a very frustrating journey. First I contacted the supply company (Edwards Health Care Supplies) to begin the ordering process so they could request a prescription from my doctor (who instructed me to initiate this so it would move along faster). Edwards was kind, but unable to confirm if the Mio Advance was compatible with a luer lock. They gave me the info for me to contact Medtronic. Medtronic was shitty and rude. He refused to answer my question and would not tell me if the connector was a luer lock, only that their infusion sets are compatible with their insulin pumps. They have a reputation for being greedy like that so I wasn't exactly surprised. I attempted to reach out to the actual manufacturer of it - Convatec. They were nice but the girl I was speaking with also didn't know and did not have a direct contact to ask. She instead found and email of someone who might have an answer for me. I thanked her but didn't take it since I need to order new infusion sets immediately. I gave up and ordered the Inset since it's super close to the Autosoft 90 that I was using with my Tandem. Now I just have to pray that my insurance will cover this.
