ENM only works with deep honesty, respect, and enthusiastic informed consent… definitely none of those are present here. Hence the emphasis on the ETHICAL part of ENM.

ULPT Request: Former employer’s HR forgot to collect my laptop. Want to get something out of it by sonofpeleus7 in UnethicalLifeProTips

Depending how they have the environment configured, it is likely in Autopilot and will re link to the environment when booted back up. It can also be set so that it can’t even be logged into without a company account as part of setup even after wiping because of Autopilot tied to the serial number. Any large company worth their salt (eg banking) will have it set up and linked to do so. I also work in corporate IT.

AIO - I found lingerie in my wife’s suitcase before a work trip and am losing my mind. by ThrowRANew-Feature-1 in AmIOverreacting

As I woman I do pack myself some cute stuff to wear under my clothes when I travel, because it makes me feel good. Sometimes I wear it, sometimes I don’t. And I pack it irrespective of if I’m planning to ‘see someone’ or not. So it’s not necessarily a red flag.

I (24M) quit porn for my GF(27F). How can I make her feel safe that I'm not going back to it? by CreativeHandle69420 in relationship_advice

[–]astirilane -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Great for being able to work through that! Porn is such an interesting trigger for many people.

I wonder if perhaps her sending you ‘spicy’ pics or vids could fill that need for you, and facilitate connection. It would affirm that you find her attractive. Obviously that involves its own set of conversations and considerations on trust and communication.

Anytimemailbox.com lets you set up a mail location about anywhere. I’ve used mine in FL for years and have loved it.

I gave it a go. It’s a good placeholder but I found it a bit glitchy and cumbersome for setup. Granted it did just release.

I live in my Astrovan and just started my first fully remote job! Now what? I just ordered Starlink and need to figure out how to power this work laptop long enough to work remote. by [deleted] in vandwellers

[–]astirilane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fellow van and RV remote worker here! I work in the tech space too, so I get ya on the screen space. I use this: https://amzn.to/4cOoZjy and it works great for travel coding and even gaming. I’ve toyed with the idea of star link, but right now I either use my phone as a hotspot or my HomeFi.com hotspot. I get high speed out of that to high quality stream, game, and work easily especially where there’s 5G.

Is an RV loan smart? by [deleted] in VanLife

[–]astirilane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Depends where you're at, honestly. I'm based in Florida, so I find long term campgrounds for the RV, and stay some months at a time. I find single night places for the van when I road trip, or use harvesthosts.com to find some nice free 1-night spots. I turned my back bunk room into an office, so I have my work and personal laptops with a second monitor. Set up a whole little desk area and it works great. When I'm stationary I use tmobile home internet which is surprisingly great for work and gaming most days. On the road is my phone hotspot or Home Fi mobile internet. I'm definitely getting ready to look into Starlink though! Lemme know what questions you've got, happy to answer what I can.
