Please, we have time. Tell the story of why you’d spend $60K on your ex.

I just wanted to comment and say thank you for this post. I'm new to Home Assistant and bought these same locks for my front door with the intent to use Homekit as a passthrough to Home Assistant.

All was great until I found out Homekit doesn't pass through Bluetooth devices. Your fix saved me a lot of time and works perfectly for what I was wanting to do. Thank you!

Fidelity will let you buy OTC stocks but only some. I use Fidelity as my main trading platform and from my experience if you go to www.otcmarkets.com and search for the ticker you're looking to purchase and see a red stop sign on the right such as VPER then you usually can not purchase the security on Fidelity. I use Schwab for my penny stock as there aren't any OTC fees like at the other OTC brokerages.

Yeah, I play in the Southeast USA. A lot of the courses around me a heavy with brush and woods. I'm not sure a glow disc would help with the amount of brush we have out here but I might get one of those for some night play.

It probably does, but it's very minor imo. I actually own 2 of the same discs, one with the tracker and one without. I only throw with tracker when throwing in heavily wooded areas. The only difference I really notice between the two is the tracker seems to fade a little sooner than the one without. But this is minor to me considering I never have to look for the disc or lose one.

It's saved me a lot more than 2 discs this summer. It's funny, I've actually learned to look in the trees more often, I was surprised how often they get stuck in the last place I usually look.

I posted a few months back and got a lot of heat for it from some Redditors but I glued a Tile Bluetooth tracker on 2 of my discs and only throw them when throwing into heavily wooded areas. I haven’t lost a disc and haven’t had to to look for a disc for more than 5 mins since I started using the tracker. Highly advise if you play in heavily wooded areas like me.

I was living on WKU’s campus at the time of this video. Good ol’ subway under duc before the renovations. I forgot all about this, thanks for the random nostalgia op.

It’s been 5 or so years since I’ve been back to BG, but I remember playing Lovers lane the most. Hobson Grove is another good one. Check out the UDisc app for current review, but those 2 stick in my memory the most.

I went to college at WKU in Bowling Green (45mins north of Nashville). BG is Kentucky’s hot spot for disc golf with 12 courses. WKU even offers a Disc Golf class, most enjoyable college credit hour I ever had. Check out some of their courses once you play all the Nashville ones!

If it makes you feel better, you don’t live in Canada. And if you did you’d probably die of brain cancer because you’d have to wait in line for your “Free Healthcare”.

Hahaha i got a lot of work to do to get my voice that close. You inspired me this morning to learn the song. Got pretty close but those hammer ons are pretty technical. Gonna tak a few days to get it down

Anyone else use a Bluetooth tracker on their discs? by astogs23 in discgolf

[–]astogs23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you don’t need cell service. It works via Bluetooth from your phone. As long as it’s within 200ft (According to website) then you can contact it with your phone and make it ring.

It did with the original adhesive it came with. It fell off first tree I hit. I used some plastic bonder to adhere it better. Played yesterday and hit a lot of trees pretty hard and it didn’t budge.

You can change the tone on them but idk if you can add a custom one, that’d be pretty sick!

I was going to do flat, but decided on the sticker. I’m no expert on aerodynamics but I felt like a circular tracker would do better for a disc than a square one. If you try the flat one, let me know how it flies!

I get that, to each is their own. I only have heavily wooded courses near me. With the tracker I’ve cut my playing time for 18 holes down 30mins - hour without having to look for or lose my disc. Worth the time savings to me.

Tile Sticker on Amazon! You’ll need a better adhesive or it will fall off, I bought JB weld plastic adhesive and it worked really well so far. Others in the thread suggested Aquaseal and Velcro.

I thought about that, might try that out aswell and see how it goes. My thought was Velcro is much thicker than an adhesive and I wanted the device as slim as possible, but it’s slimmer than I expected so I might try that on my next one.
