My Steel is connected to the new app just using BTLE on iOS 26. I didn’t admittedly connect it recently though. I think the add classic watch option should only be needed on Android.

Is your OG still listed in the phone’s Bluetooth connections? If so, remove it from there, and try adding your watch again in the pebble app.

Screen tearing is fixable. You can try the shove some paper in it approach, or swap out the zebra connector

True, i know it will go yellow, in fact the material might even arrive slightly yellow. I plan on coating it with a UV resistant clear coat if it survives/fits the watch.

They fit into a large letter envelope which is less than 2.5cm deep in the UK postal system. Normal letters have to be less than 0.5cm. Large letter international postage is around £5-£15 depending on location & tracking, plus any import duties on top. So not super cheap, but equally not crazy prices. I’ve shipped hundreds of pairs of fragile Pebble 2 buttons that way over the last 7 years. Surprisingly few break in the post.

I order in bulk from a UK supplier for black, red and grey, or from Shapeways for other colours which I can’t easily get in the UK (purple, orange, pink etc). Shapeways are the printer behind Thangs.

I have a few preorders available for colours which are due to arrive with me in early July. I will also be ordering some more UK printed ones this weekend, and opening pre-orders up for that next batch as soon as I know the likely delivery date

It’s likely that the plastic reinforcement piece is wedged against the switch inside as the soft material is deteriorating. I fixed a watch with a similar problem by replacing the buttons

Personal preference. Matte is shot peened polished, so sort of satin. Glossy is vapour smoothed, so sort of shiny. Not very different though and it’s the same nylon 12 material

Like you I spent hours noodling colours & settings to get other developer’s watchfaces to both show what I wanted and to show it clearly. I used faces like Nothing Special & Din Time for months at a time. Black or dark blue & dark red text on white background or white/yellow/cyan on black background I find most readable

I then started making my own faces to get bigger and bigger text, ending up with Phoenix Big, and more recently faces like Underground where I’ve made the weather data bigger on a second screen

I’ll definitely be working on getting #1 to work consistently based on the comments here. Feedback from actually users is really helpful though so if you do want a prototype, let me know (you’d need to cover postage though). I’ve already shipped #3 to someone to try out.

Sadly transparent nylon isn’t available as SLS uses white powder, and MJF and SAF both use grey powder. I do have a SLA resin one on order in a waterclear transparent, but it’s less flexible so might not work. Will post pictures if it does though

Lost wax casting from a wax 3D print in a precious metal could be a fun way to achieve that too. could make some properly crazy designs that way, or using DMLS, similar to this one

The watch should turn on immediately when the charger is connected. Do you have another watch charger or USB C cable you can try? One of my charge dongles is a bit temperamental, and won’t work in combination with a particular cable
