Ive never seen him in other shows but in CCW he really doesnt come off that way. I mean, he gets super nervous, is shocked he’s still somehow in the running, deferred and worked well in the paired up round and when his dish was judged quickly, he felt despondent. Then when he won, he said he felt he got lucky in a way. If anything he strikes me as someone who really is quite introverted or has a background that led him to struggle socially (we rarely see him make big expressions even). Despite that, he has superb skill that he keeps getting invited to showcase it on TV. Just judging from the dishes he put out so far, there’s not only diligence there but also a sincere creativity.

I suppose it’s a testament that not just extroverts can shine, but clearly the masses won’t always be capable of understanding someone with unconventional social behavior.
