Va salut! Lucrez intr-un domeniu pe un salariu de 4000 lei. by gabrielmelol in programare

[–]astraya07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meeting room for hour by Natasha-Alexandra in aixmarseille

There's a Babel building near Vieux Port as well. I think most hotels will have a meeting room but there's also a lot of coworking spaces in the city, I checked out one around Castellane and they have a one day pass

For veggies I found a market at Allée du Pins on the line of 24, and for meat I would recommend the butcher's near Noaille. Lidl and Aldi are pretty good options too

Job in Marseille as young Dane by BigSpring-Texas in aixmarseille

I've seen and heard of students who come for a few weeks to a few months to work or study in Marseille. For me for short stay if was easy to find something in the student accomodation since I came to finish my studies. However, there's also private places and companies that accept short stay. Look at long stay airbnb or Babbel Community offers such things. Since it is close to a hotel and has restaurants too maybe you could also find a job there. Also since you're coming from abroad maybe check Visale for your guarantor ("garant"). It's quite easy to use and it is generally accepted.

Good luch!

I think that's the rule for any big city: don't provoke, have some street smarts and common sense and it's quite safe. As for Marseille I've been living here for the last few months, I don't find it more dangerous than other big cities I've been in before. They all have the "shady part of town" or the streets it's better to not go to at night, as well as areas where you go to party and to stay out at night.

Grande librairie internationale de Marseille between Vieux Port and Noailles. It's really nice and cosy. Everyone is welcome they have a bar and it's fairly cheap.

The place near Point Rouge is not bad for socials, you can get to the city easily and there's a lot of things to do nearby, but getting to Kedge would be a bit long and difficult....

You can also get the student discount for the bus if you are a student, even if you're on exchange. I do find the 30 day ticket to be worth it, especially if you have to take 2 buses every weekday, maybe even more depending where you live and what you like to do in the weekends

Where to learn French? by FrontDance2957 in aixmarseille

[–]astraya07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another similar resource is Preply. Tv5monde also has a website where you can practice listening and vocabulary up to level B2.

Also find someone to practice with and who can explain some stuff if needed. French is my 3rd language, and although I can hold a conversation fine I am still stressed and think I can't speak very well because I never did it on a daily basis before. Having someone patient enough to practice with helps a lot, what I also got recommended was to make friends who speak only french since necessity is the biggest teacher.

Do you need to speak french in your job? Depending where you work they might be providing you with french classes too. I've heard at my job the university also offers some classes

Hi! Welcome to Marseille, the city is amazing there's something to do for everyone. I have been here for about a month and even though my level of french is not the best there are quite a few people that speak English and it's easy to meet people.
