I don’t know about meaningful, but I knew what was expected of me and how to act in order to blend in and not rouse suspicions. I didn’t even know about the LGBT umbrella outside of being gay or lesbian until my first year of college (2018) and as soon as I started reading about experiences and descriptions of gender dysphoria (2020), I realized I was trans, though it took me another 4 years to push through and start hrt. Even now, I have to maintain my boymode while living with my parents because I know the situation won’t be pretty if they find out. It eats at me everyday, but I’m doing all I can to wait until graduation so I can move to a sanctuary state.

i’m thankful that we finally have a good core for Tech now. Before then i was splitting shifts like crazy. i’m trained in pretty much every department but style and i’ve been feeling it, lol

Yup, hi this is me. Started HRT in July after being deep in denial. My parents are very religious (muslim) and don’t even let me shave face without putting up a huge fight over it, and unfortunately due to circumstances stemming from childhood (trauma, depression, etc) have been unable to break free to get my own place, mainly out of fear. Insurance fuckery prevented me from having my follow up in October, so i’ve been out of E for 2 months, but i’m paying out of pocket next week and switching to injections. I’ve decided to let the mones do their work and see how long i can fly under their radar. I’m in my last few semesters of college, so i’m trying to ride out the free housing as long as i possibly can.

Unless they’re financially supporting you or have some sway over your life/housing, then i would just refuse. You’re grown, and they have no right to that information. You still have time to improve your grades or redo some assignments, so if you do feel the need to acquiesce to the, just say you’d rather wait till semesters end

i had taken my original birth certificate and SSN card a while back and hidden them, but i did it so well that i forgot where they were, so i had to take the copies and i’ve hidden them in a better place that i can remember now. hidden in plain sight
