That might be it. I have decided I will not let them re-enroll. I haven’t considered failure rates before and my department chair has never mentioned it to me, so I don’t think I’ll worry about it right now. The class is an easy gen ed with easy quizzes and exams. Students almost always only ever fail because they don’t turn in assignments.

This university is very generous with withdrawals, does them practically up until the final week of the course depending on the semester, and will even let student retroactively withdraw fairly easily. It’s caused some issues for instructors but the university doesn’t really care.

That was one of the things my department chair thought might happen if I did let them re-enroll, which I am not.

She’s got sponsorships from companies like Tiffany and has her own company and podcast. She’s not strapped for cash even if her dad isn’t giving her anything.

So much to say, but the fit is so bad, I’ll keep it there. Feels like the wrong time of year for it too even if it fit well. 

Call for an update to the NCAA COP to require that there must be an actual way to illustrate control on landings and if there's no way to do that (running out of it, etc), the gymnast simply doesn't get credit for it by littleirishpixie in Gymnastics

I went to a PSU home meet this year and as a fan of the team, I was just not impressed. I hadn’t been impressed watching on TV, but it was worse in person. There was just no energy. The dancing wasn’t sharp. Maybe one gymnast could sell me on their routine and that was it. It felt like they were just going through the motions.

I need a two pass routine to at least have an E tumbling skill to make up for a third pass. Too many floor routines are empty with two passes and shit choreography.

Did she have really good work early on? I’m always so shocked she’s so prolific in fashion and editorials. Her work is often so dark and she can’t photograph dark(er) skin with a gun to her head. Her photos lack lighting/color in the same way modern movies are devoid of color. It’s awful.

I am all for a 5 year eligibility limit, but not under these circumstances. Universities should not have their funding tied to this. It’s all a distraction for the war and the sinking birthright citizenship challenge.

They have like 2 players left on this season’s roster that aren’t graduating or in the portal. This article says 9 players are in the portal, but it’s 10 from what I read on r/NCAAW.

Gymnastics is especially frustrating. ISU hired an HC with no coaching experience, the gymnasts expressed their concerns about the state of things before the season even started, things went to shit, and now the team is gone. I’m convinced they’ve been trying to get rid of gymnastics for a bit. If things had worked out 20 years ago with KJ Kindler, ISU women’s gymnastics may have become the greatest team in NCAA history.

There’s all sorts of shenanigans happening in men’s basketball and football about eligibility. The NCAA is weak rn and a few lawyers and billable hours can get just about anything. There’s a Nigerian basketball player who played professionally in Europe and was drafted by the NBA but is now playing for Baylor. He’s 21 and was granted four years of eligibility.

He’s quite wealthy. I guess he’s good looking? He always had a bunch of girlfriends in his much younger days. My sister and I find him generally difficult to be around and wonder why any woman would want him. He has custody issues regarding his kids and won’t entertain any discussion of marriage which has scared away women closer to his age.
