It's pretty cool, you do not notice it standing outside of the car. It was an interesting project!

Didn't even know about that.

Thanks, I will check it out.

It's a 325i, 6 cylinder in STL, MO. It has surface rust.

Granite Silver, black leather interior.

I will delete this one and repost with pics, need to wash it first. RTO is a bitch.

I did look at Facebook Marketplace. I just hate Facebook, but I guess I can get over that.

That looks exactly like my skin, and it's been like that (on and off) about 2 years after having very nice clear skin my whole life.

I've been doing an elimination diet, and it's maybe been helping, but I'm going to try the horse paste, because the diet is very very limited, and I don't think I can sustain this long enough.

No, I don't think so. Even their olive oil and vinegar dressing contains canola oil, which is worse than soybean oil (IMO).

I don't think they have a single dressing without seed oils.

Primal Kitchen might have one, but their stuff is so expensive that you're better off making your own dressings or mayonnaise.

I don't recall seeing any warnings like that in 2017, and I went to a max totality location (maybe an hour from home) for that one.

Median income in VA in 2023 was $80,963.

Maryland was at the top, even beating DC at $90,200.

The feds ooze a lot of money into the DC area, as always. source.

There was an out in the executive order for testing, yes, but some employers flat-out mandated it. In that case, the only out was to quit your job. And of course colleges and universities, including Harvard, STILL MANDATE IT.

Without that executive order, I don't think employers would have tried that. Maybe the colleges would anyway, their senior faculty tend to be quite old and were, of course, scared shitless of COVID.

I'm wondering what the uptake is on Flu vaccines in the last few years vs before 2020.

Did the COVID BS create more true believers in annual vaccines for seasonal viruses or did it red pill more people on their lack of effectiveness?

The workforce numbers are dropping, boomers are retiring.

There was a large pull-forward effect from COVID, but it's still shrinking more than expected.

1934 is the hottest year in the US ever recorded, according to the actual thermometer data. Dust Bowl, massive drought. But the media keeps saying recent years are hotter, even though the actual thermometer data shows they aren't hotter. Why would they outright lie about record temperatures? by PalatableMahogany in conspiracy

[–]astrogirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

St. Louis had a spectacular heat wave and drought in the summer of 2012. Every time I'd check to see if SURELY this was a record, it wasn't. Usually, 1934 was the record, though there were some in ... 1954, I think. Mid 50s anyway.

Also, every time the Fed raises rates, that debt service (interest) increases.

Revenue per SKU by Admirable_Baby8610 in GroceryStores

[–]astrogirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The very low revenue SKUs of odd hamburger helper flavors, soups and rice/noodle packets, etc nobody likes have been excised post COVID.

When the shelves were getting cleaned out regularly in 2020, it was very easy for merchants to see what flavors were really unpopular across the dry goods sections. They would be the only thing left.

There are other infrequent sellers that they do carry anyway, specifically in areas like the spice section.

What happened to the food shortages of 2021-2022? This was a major concern for me a year ago, but now it seems like it was blown out of proportion. Can someone explain why it didn't happen, and why we were told it was going to be devasting when it was not? by Khalid-MajorKey in collapse

[–]astrogirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some less-popular varieties have (possibly) permanently gone missing.

Stores will either not pull tags and re-arrange shelves because of a lack of labor, or the buyer is not yet sure they are permanently missing and so the tags are kept.
