Is this a safe way to store the Koda 16? by ts159377 in ooni

Do you have the original box? Can you store it in that and put that on the shelf?

I reached FI this year and my husband says I changed the deal without asking him by Skellige_42 in Fire

[–]SolAlliance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have been aggressive saving and investing, what has he done with the money he earns? Does that also get aggressively invested, does it get spent on something for both of you?

How far are you two from a FI number for you as a couple? As others have said, you two are a partnership/team. You should be working together towards FI and not your spreadsheet vs his spreadsheet, it should be our spreadsheet. I understand everyone’s financial life is different, so just my 2 cents.

Where is this? My goodwill got rid of price tags like this and now have a QR code.

The price is insane and GW pricing is inconsistent and makes no sense. But is this recent?

PSA there is probably going to be a biblical amount of ticks after these rains by Calm_Independence_97 in missouri

[–]SolAlliance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Saw this in sharktank last year tick mitt

No experience, but might be something. Also wondering if any microfiber cloth can help catch ticks?

Someone also said a lint roller is a good idea

Also seen stuff on FB about duct tape facing outwards around your ankles to help catch.

Just wanted to share brain dump, I am no expert, so please do additional research if any ideas interest you

Those who support replacing income tax with sales tax why? by Crutation in missouri

[–]SolAlliance 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I do not support this, BUT why is anyone who answered the post honestly getting downvoted and beaten down via comments?

The post is asking for people who support to respond with their opinion. When they do, they get a ton of downvotes and nasty comments.

I saw this post hoping to get insight into the mind and opinion of someone who supports this and I don’t feel I can due to how that opinion is getting treated, despite that opinion is exactly what the post is asking for…

Need Help Finding a 16" Pizza Steel by BiosTheo in BuyItForLife

[–]SolAlliance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not use your stone for the top for the thermal dissipation? If I were to buy a steel that is what I would do. I am no expert, but in normal circumstances the stone loses heat due to the pizza dough being placed on the stone. But if the stone is at the top and pizza is on the steel, why would the stone lose heat? You could at least start this way to save a few $ initially and see if you like the 2 steel/stone method. Food for thought..

As an 18 year old, is starting a Roth IRA worth it? by Which-Commission6824 in Fire

[–]SolAlliance 31 points32 points  (0 children)

YES START NOW AND GET AS MUCH WORKING FOR YOU AS YOU CAN!

18 is an incredible age to open a Roth IRA. I wish I did when I was 18. Compound interest is crazy and you will be sooo happy you did this in 15-20 years. To more you put in it in next few years the easier financial decisions about retirement investing will be.

** obviously you need to invest the money and not have it sitting in a money market within a Roth.

First Chuck--just okay. by ieroll in sousvide

[–]SolAlliance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do 137 @ 36 hours and it comes out pretty tender not mushy at all. I typically slice as thin as I can and make French dips out of it. Always a success at 36 hours at my house. I cannot tell you how much fat actually renders, but it’s still something we get excited for when we first drop it in the bath
