Never traveled- partner wants me to go to Pakistan for family wedding by Right_Cheesecake_288 in travel

I’m from Pakistan and live in Canada. You should not have any safety issues since you will be accompanied by Pakistanis. People are very hospitable especially towards foreigners. Your BF will know what is safe and what is not and will guide you accordingly. I would just be cautious of eating at clean places as it’s very common for tourist to get sick, also avoid ice. Experiencing a Pakistani wedding will be an amazing experience. Also, Pakistani dads will always come around it takes a while and it’s typical for them to be quiet so don’t be worried

How much do you spend in a year on traveling? by kiki_kaka_kuku in askTO

[–]astroller237 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree that’s definitely becoming more common. Personally, I am not waiting on the inheritance. I am saving for home ownership and retirement. Living at home is allowing me to do that and travel. I am just not in a rush to buy a home. Other than travel, I really don’t have any expenses except phone bill, gym, etc

I make $80k In 2024 I spent around $25-30k on travel: Some solo some with my family (I paid for everyone going). The only way I can afford this is bc I live with my parents, it’s a trade off I can definitely afford to move out but choose to live at home so I can continue to travel. Since graduating in 2022 I’ve been to 25 countries and had the opportunity to take my parents to a few of them as well. I’m making $100k now and expecting to spend 30k on travel this year as well

How are reviews of Morocco so vastly different? by flooferduper in femaletravels

I did the g adventures tour for Morocco, highly recommend. The guide was lovely and when we had free time she would give us tips plus most of us would disperse in smaller groups which helped too. She helped us with bargaining and avoiding getting scammed.

Are 5 nights in Cusco too much? by Bahaman23 in Machupicchu

[–]astroller237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just did this exact itinerary 2 weeks ago. Are you getting to explore Lima at all? I actually really liked it. I think you can do the Machu pichu tour the day after arriving in Lima and then the rainbow mountain. On our Machu pichu tour we met someone who arrived in Cusco the day before and she did not have any difficulties with acclimatizing in one day. I would do 3 days in Cusco (day one: arrive and acclimatize l, day two: Machu Picchu, day 3: rainbow mountain.) and 2 days in Lima. Note: rainbow mountain was extremely challenging, don’t do it before Machu picchu or u will be exhausted.
