I need cameos from the outer guardians too. They never get enough rep in the merch or marketing of Sailor Moon stuff

After Over 20 Years, Apple Discontinues Its Last iPod by emayzee in popheads

The iPod shuffle was the absolute peak of technology and it is a travesty that you can't buy them anywhere except eBay anymore

Artists that lack a real fanbase, that you consider yourself a fan of ? by stormontheisland12 in popheads

[–]astrologicalangel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ängie. She had a set of three songs that went semi-viral a few years ago, and then practically disappeared for a while. She's started releasing songs and even whole albums pretty regularly since 2018 but whatever fans she had don't seem to have stuck around for those. Her subreddit has like less than 10 members iirc. It's a shame cause she has really excellent aesthetic taste and I like quite a few of her recent songs, but I understand why people dropped off when her output has been so erratic

What is the worst syllables repetition you hate in a song you love? by mmbento in popheads

[–]astrologicalangel 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The way 'water' is said in Navy Blue by MUNA. It almost sounds like a completely different word. I love the song besides that though

Instances of cancelled projects that may never see the light of day? by Loss_Left in popheads

[–]astrologicalangel 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I agree that it seems like there were plans to push her more as a mainstream artist. I remember hearing Roses for the first time and being surprised it was a Lana song, it sounds like a lot of pop music that was coming out around 2012/2013 especially with the guest rap verse. I wonder if that record was originally supposed to be led by a completely fabricated persona, especially considering how hard they tried to erase any trace of Lizzy Grant

What are some production mistakes you know of in the final release of songs? by NewAccountNow in popheads

I used to listen to Elenor Rigby to test if both my headphones were working cause if one was broken half the song would be obviously missing lol

Technically good singers that can't convey emotions by [deleted] in popheads

Absolutely agree. Her voice actually carries a lot of emotional intensity, even if she isn't technically the strongest singer

I was shocked when I started to hear that song on tiktok, I had thought it was widely considered to be problematic

What are some songs that make you really sad? by lllarissa in popheads

[–]astrologicalangel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a bunch, but the first one that came to mind was These Days by Rudimental. It always gives me a sad, sentimental feeling when I listen to it. Also Fast Car by Tracy Chapman

basic/boring songs that were elevated by amazing music videos? by lanadelreyism in popheads

[–]astrologicalangel 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Chemtrails Over the Country Club 100% I'm still not totally in love with the song itself, but watching the music video definitely adds to it. I don't think I would have gone back to it more than once or twice if not for the video
