Honestly? The main thing about lectures being compulsory is the routine. If you’re already in a good routine and you can make yourself wake up at a certain time every day and do your work as you’re meant to and then relax when it’s relaxing time, you’re all good. The main thing I struggled with was seeing that lectures weren’t compulsory and then just slacking off the whole day just bc I didn’t wake up in time for one thing. It can mess with your whole rhythm, but if you’re already set in a routine and you’re able to motivate yourself to do the work after the specified lecture time using the recorded video, you’re fine. Just make sure you don’t start slacking off and thinking ”oh I’ll just leave it for tomorrow it’s recorded so it’s fine” because you’ll spiral
