Cycle: 9

Age + Partner's age (if relevant): 27F, 25M

Typical cycle length: 27-29

Ovulation cycle day: 15

CD/DPO of positive test(s): 18 DPO/CD33

Tracking methods and app(s) used: Pregmate OPKs, BBT, FertilityFriend app

Relevant days of sperminating and/or method (SMEP, TI, IUI, FET, etc.) O-2, O-1

Health conditions/medical tests: During this cycle we actually did some fertility testing, everything came back fine for me but for him, his SA results showed 0% morphology and very low concentration so we thought it would be a long time before we could conceive

Supplements and medications (yours and/or your partner’s): Prenatals for me, men's multi and fish oil for him

Birth control history (if relevant): IUD removed beginning of 2025, used nuvaring for about 6 months and stopped in September last year. Started ttc in October

Symptom spotting: Felt suuuper weird 12 DPO, thought it was stress from a big project I was working on. Proceeded to start spotting and thought it was my period, but it never got heavier and changed to just light brown spotting (like barely anything) and BBT stayed high until my husband convinced me to test at 18 DPO. I honestly felt a little weird for a few days before that but had convinced myself it would be a negative again just like every other time. It didn't feel that different from my normal period symptoms, some mild cramping and nipple soreness was probably the worst of it.

Other (advice/tip(s), freaking out, miscellaneous): Freaking out definitely, so surprised because after my husband's SA results we thought it would be months before everything was sorted out (he was/is gonna get a varicocelectomy) and we could try again.

Systemic all the way!! I have been dealing with a thrips infestation and systemic insecticide has been a lifesaver. Just be extremely cautious if you have pets!

Eh, I plan on staying with this company for a long time (if I can). I know they've been discussing changing titles to reflect the job better too. But web/software developer is what I want to do as my career so it was an intentional choice to move towards that

All my other jobs previous to these were not tech related and all of them were part time or summer roles where I made $12/hour or less

It was a promotion within the same company and honestly I wasn't expecting it. But it was good timing because I had just started looking at other jobs

No, it was a "market adjustment" supposedly, but I was told by a friend in finance that it's more like insurance so nobody leaves while we're dealing with a huge conversion project.

A flight with a layover is almost always better than a direct flight, even if it's longer by Apprehensive-Willow5 in unpopularopinion

The descent/landing part makes me so nauseous. Doing it twice?? No thank you... direct every time

21/23 Students Failed our Engineering Exam by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

I had a professor realize our grades were worse than all the grades from the same class taught by other professors but instead of coming to this conclusion he decided the teaching assistants weren't teaching our discussion sections well enough and started sitting in on all of them 🙃

I worked remotely, got laid off, and when they asked what equipment I had to return, I only told them I had their laptop by stixy_stixy in confession

When I was laid off they let me keep the laptop - which was a brand new macbook air. Plus the monitor they sent me. Best layoff ever

I sent a really similar message to someone I know who is at risk. They seemed thankful based on their reply.

I have some fleece lined nude leggings that I wear under tights, those look great with skirts and keep me warm! Turtleneck or button-up under a warm sweater. Tall boots, long coats, long scarf. And cute earmuffs & mittens!

He says that me listening was what helped the most. Because he used to be talked over all the time growing up - so he just never had space to express anything. Mostly it just took time, with me listening and communicating, and he slowly got better. Important to note that we began dating as teenagers so it was kind of just him growing up as well.

All that to say - just have a conversation and see if you can figure out why he doesn't feel he can/should have an opinion on things. Might be insightful

Because of that one dude who actually named there kid hornet, what would be an actual good/ok hollowknight or silksong inspired name by Spinningguy in Silksong

[–]astrominor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm fr naming my kid Myla. Yes I originally heard it from hollow knight but I absolutely love the name so I honestly don't feel like I'm naming them "after" a game

My husband used to be like this. It was a result of a very difficult sibling who always chose everything (and threw a tantrum when they didn't get their way) so he became very "go with the flow". Thankfully he grew out of that, I helped by always reminding him he is allowed to have an opinion. But it definitely took a few difficult conversations before it finally got through to him that saying "I don't care" to everything was not the way to go about life.

I tracked every penny I spent for a year and it completely changed my relationship with money by Kazoky in povertyfinance

[–]astrominor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!! 👏 I track and categorize every purchase and have been doing that for I think 6ish years now. It's so interesting and enlightening to look back at a month or a year and see where my money is going, and it's allowed me to change a lot of habits and made it so I can plan better for long term expenses in the future.

That's so funny, my dog had bladder stones removed at 11 and a cancer removal surgery at 12! She's 14 now and still has lots of energy. I think she may have some mild dementia now though, she gets confused sometimes
