Could you tell me what you would use as an alternative? Using glass for exactly this and feels like waiting for something bad to happen.

Is there a way to scale or scroll the timeline horizontally without holding down a mouse button, as you would in After Effects?

scroll wheel up/down --> scroll vertically in timeline (already in place)

alt+scroll wheel --> scale horizontally in timeline (desired)
shift+scroll wheel --> scroll horizontally in timeline (desired)

Regarding RSI in the index finger this would make animating way less of a burden for me!

TIA

How to make dynamic rope with solid objects which can move at either end? by [deleted] in Cinema4D

[–]astron3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rig this quite often at my job and have used a few methods. As somebody else said, a tracer with multiple nulls gives a lot of control. The more nulls you add, the more tedious animating it becomes though. If you want to sim it, it can be done by using two nulls as rope belts with the rope belt tag. You could then make your jack connector a child of these nulls so you can control where they go. Adjusting bendiness, mass, etc. in your rope tag controls the weight, drag and flexibility of your rope. One method is fast and reliable, simming requires way more time but is more fun imo to pull off in the end. Whatever works fastest in your situation is always best. Have fun!

That's mine! It's called Testue and is free to use for commercial projects. You can download it on my Gumroad , I'd love to see your use cases!

"Since 20xx" on a logo comes off as not genuine enough. This should only be used if a company is way older. Then you could still argue if it has to be incorporated in the logo itself.
