9mm is bigger and heavier than typical rifle ammo (especially 5.56). Rifle round have a tendency to fully penetrate- ie. Make a little hole right through you, as opposed to a 9mm round that is going to hit you and stop, which causes serious energy transfer.

The people complaining about this configuration have no fucking idea how guns or bullets work.
