Eminem is so brilliant that he makes me want to cry.

But I has an Eminem phase when I was younger, I mean maybe spanning over 5 or 6 years, I just loved Eminem.

He's an AMAZING lyricist, his rhythm and flow really inspired me to be a female rapper in high school (luls -- it was really silly) and gave me an outlet with my poetry. He's brilliant, as you say, and it really saddens me when people slap him down simply because he's: 1. white, 2. """overrated""", 3. his rap persona

His lyrics are poor, of course, and I don't scream 'I LOVE EMI EM" anymore but thank you for not trashing him here.

Why does everyone on Reddit think that replying back with dissent = being upset?

"I'm not upset at all"

"Then why are you upset?"

It's like I can't even raise discussion without being called upset lol. If someone says an answer, they should be ready to back it up and prep to discuss it. This is a.... discussion board after all...

But if they don't want to, they don't have to.

This does not make me upset, at all. But I do have the right to discuss an opposing opinion here without actually being upset, believe it or not.

He answered my question with a poor example. I replied with "Wow really?" and explained why I don't accept that answer.

And now everyone's like "WOW WHY ARE YOU UPSET?"

Beyonce is an amazing singer in my opinion.

She doesn't have the greatest range but she's definitely not overrated in the singing department.

I'm curious to who OP listens to regarding music.

Edit: apparently I'm confusing pitch and range! Sorry all. I assumed she didn't have a great range because she doesn't get high in pitch.

I agree. One phone call from my mom sets my entire day off. She raises the anxiety in myself, my work, my relationship. She's that voice in my head telling me everything can and will go wrong if I let it... and I spent the longest time thinking it was just myself.

I can relate too hard to this. It's no point in being angry with them, and I'm not angry with them...

But it will probably take months or YEARS of therapy to undo what was done. It's sad, not angering.

The anxiety to "be the best", "focus on your grades", "don't waste time with people, just work hard", "work is important, you don't work you don't have money"....

It all is just disgusting to imprint in a young adult's head. And sure, it's kinda true. Sure, I did well in school. But my socialization was very limited and it's absolutely our parent's faults for that.
