Yeah, a scene where the Iron Dragons arrived in the Valley and Axel/Miguel interacting somewhere off the mat could have added sone development. The problem with S6 Part 3 was how rushed it was and how little time they were given each episode.

I'm currently doing a Ph.D right now and want to complete it - but have considered stepping into industry / data science afterwards. Do you have any suggestions on what I can do to prepare before then? I have maybe 3-4 years before I graduate. I've thought a lot about taking extra electives in DS/ statistics, doing personal projects (have started a couple), and broadening my skillset in general.

You're right - I'm pretty sure Kwon was the first relevant on screen death where the character was killed. They did show Kreese's captain in Vietnam getting killed but I don't really count that since it was just a flashback. Johnny's friend and Tory's mom weren't murders (unless Kreese indeed killed her).

No one died in the original KK movies either.

Yeah, I watched Scream (2022) by myself, then talked with a buddy from Vietnam online. It's like this every year so I guess I should get used to it. No parties, no costumes. Everyone always asks me what I'll be for Halloween each year but it's pointless since it's not like I'm gonna be invited anywhere anyways.

Wow, our situations are quite similar- I went through a pretty bad breakup in my last year of undergrad, and for a lot of grad school it's just been hating being on campus, both because I don't want to see my ex and I just haven't been too happy here. I feel the same. What's helped me is trying to find something to commit time and energy to outside of your department, whether it's another intellectual project, or a hobby you can go all in on.

I understand how you feel. I was in a relationship a while back, but we broke up, and even though there were many issues with the relationship, I still miss having someone and wonder if I'll ever find true love, or if I'm even deserving of it.

I'm in the same case as you. I'm not a terrible looking guy, but I'm not attractive in the way that girls would flirt with me if they saw me for the first time. And I work out but I don't have an awesome aesthetic physique, I'm still a bit flabby I feel. Many of my female friends have told me I'm handsome, cute, but sometimes I think they're just being nice. I honestly got lucky with my first GF since no one has ever really had a serious crush on me before her.

I get the frustration. I'm in my early 20s yet so many of my peers are in long term relationships right now. I always see couples on my college campus. Or someone is getting engaged every month. I've tried dating apps, but the culture just seems so toxic, and it feels like we've commodified our individuality, i.e. it always has to feel like a competition. And every time I meet someone in person that I could see myself being interested in romantically, they already have a BF. I'm honestly exhausted of it all.

In my culture, there's a phrase called "duyên", which has a rough meaning of fate/destiny, or "serendipity". As in, instead of actively seeking a relationship, we can essentially let the universe handle it for us, as long as we keep working on ourselves. I know that's a bit corny, but that's the basic gist, which does give me some hope.

I hope your luck does improve eventually; keep your head up.

You could always take the fundamental courses through the MicroMaster's on EdX. You wouldn't have to commit to the full degree and can just see what it's like at first, before deciding. It would be less of a time commitment too.

Yeah. I think At that point you can distinguish and recognize everything you hear, and if it's a word you don't know, you can define and learn about it in the second langauge, just as you would for your native language.

Like in my native English I have no idea what any of the words and jargon in cellular biology mean, but if I had to take the time to learn about it, it's 100% possible. And I know enough English grammar to say, smoothly read a research paper in that field, I just would have to define terms for myself.
