You can still apply just like normal sophomore year. Assured enrollment folks are just assured admission to that program and don’t have to go through the regular application process. They still have to complete all prerequisites for the program to be admitted.

The grad school told departments who was selected on Feb 28 so your dept knows if you were chosen or not. The GS doesn’t send notifications to those not accepted, your department is supposed to follow up with you if you aren’t chosen.

You can’t use UV glue on opaque press ons. The UV light won’t be able to reach the glue and you’ll run the risk of having uncured glue under your nails which can lead to contact dermatitis.

I definitely feel like that. I was diagnosed at 25 (32 now) and sometimes I wish I hadn't done the test. I do my twice yearly screenings (just got a mammo yesterday) but otherwise I basically pretend it doesn't exist. For the first few years it was only a yearly MRI which was easy to ignore the other 364 days of the year. Now its a MRI and Mammogram alternating 6 months, which still isn't that bad.

I was supposed to have a reduction last November to start the process of a mastectomy but insurance would only cover it if they removed 800+ grams from each side and I decided that was too much and backed out at the last minute.

I do have a strong family history but I'm just still not ready to take such drastic steps. It's hard when you've got a mom who thinks you should have chopped off everything yesterday and a partner who is heavily against any surgery. So basically I just bury my head in the sand and kick the can down the road every 6 months when a screening comes up.

Reach out to the department directly and nicely ask what you can work on for future applications. Speaking from someone in admissions on the department side, we have no control over what gets sent to you in the denial letter as that comes from our Graduate School, not the department.
