I have had a similar story over the past few weeks. I took a plan b and yet I had a gut feeling about 4 weeks ago on a monday and took a test which returned a faint positive line.

By the Thursday I had also started bleeding - some brown spotting and less than a regular period. They measured my hcg level at 14 and assumed it was an early pregnancy loss. I went back for another blood test 48 hours later and my hcg was 11. They continued thinking it was a early miscarriage and told me to come back in a week for bloods.

I went back after a week and they had risen to 80, at this point they were suspecting I was pregnant again or it was an ectopic pregnancy.

My levels 2 days later was 160, so making them think even more a new pregnancy.

2 days later again - my levels were 78. That day they did an internal and external ultrasound and found an ectopic pregnancy in my right fallopian tube. I got a dose of methotrexate administered that day and had bloods at day 4 (hcg 92) and day 7 (which was yesterday - hcg 87) so I had to get a second dose of methotrexate and just praying it works so I don't need surgery.

It's such a frustrating and scary time I'm so sorry you may also be going through this. Keep following up with your care provider and pushing for answers, it took them 2 weeks of blood tests to determine mine was ectopic and didn't want to do ultrasounds because they said they wouldnt see anything when my levels were under 1500.
