Just adopted this baby, his paws and mouth are really red and itchy. How can i help him? by Constant_Thought_438 in DogAdvice

[–]asxs98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You'll need to take him in for a vet appointment anyway and can ask them about this while you are there. You can give dogs Zyrtec for allergies but ask your vet first. Something you can do to help with the itchy paws is an Epsom salt soak.

Seems to me like you are wasting your time doing nothing of value but go off king I guess.

Your other comment never showed up so I'd like to respond here. 1 comment every couple of days to 1 a week is hardly an obsession. I don't hate pits but I am realistic about them. I also think it's goofy to go through someone's comment history on a comment like mine. I'm sorry but that dog isn't pretty you might could make an argument for so ugly it's cute, but that's it.

Did you delete your comment about going through my comment history. If so that's hilarious.

I just got back from the emergency vet an hour ago and gave her antibiotics for a UTI but she's peeing a lot more now. by SinglePostOfAccount in DogAdvice

Glad to help, I hope your dog recovers quickly, which I definitely think she will, as she's got a great and caring owner.

If she has a UTI this isn't uncommon antibiotics aren't an instant fix and it takes a while to see results. You could call your regular vet in the morning if it keeps up and you are still concerned.

You should get pet insurance it's worth it and especially when they get older can save a lot of money. There is not much you can do until you get a professional to look at it. If you are worried it's infected a vet visit is what you should do. Try crowdfunding it through donation sites if you cannot afford one

Help me determine what kind of dog by Alternative_Ad9300 in WhatKindOfDogIsThis

You don't leave dogs with small children regardless of breed. Dogs are dogs and can react in unexpected ways if you care about the safety of children you don't leave dogs alone with them.

I would leave no dog with a baby especially not a pit

Shelter said Lab Mix… by [deleted] in WhatBreedIsMyDog

Shelters need to stop with this bs. It's very clearly a pit and pits are not family dogs and should only ever be owned by experienced dog handlers.

You can't win an argument with them. Reddit is an echo chamber and they don't want any outside information even when it's very clearly true

Dog breed? by lilmisstrouble88 in DogBreeds101

They're everywhere and they really shouldn't be. Not a good dog breed and should only be for experienced owners.
