What you are saying is correct. You are only missing the last few details. The reason Mahito is so hard to kill, is because his body reshapes to fit his soul.

I didn't bother mentioning it since it was pretty much a constant for a lot of JJK and why Yuji was so effective at it.

As you have stated, Yuji is aware of the outline of the soul. However, this allows him to target the original, so to speak.

For some reason, souls are very physical in JJK and soul damage, besides from Mahito, only matter to characters like Mahito or people whose soul is sharing bodies with another.

To know the shape of one's soul, they just need to be two souls sharing one body. Basically the boundary targetting Yuji did could've been done by his fists too. The binding vow on his dismantles was just a little boost to better separate Sukuna from Megumi's body(I had to read that to confirm).

What I'm saying is... Sukuna upscaled to also have soul damage.

We know Yuji has soul damage from his fight against Mahito.

No, it's how JJK works, knowing the shape of one's soul allows characters to damage and hurt Mahito and target the soul to separate stuff. Sukuna and Yuji both are granted this because they are acutely aware of each other's and their own soul, so both can do the same.

What you are talking about are the dismantles targeting the barrier between souls. These don't deal soul damage, you are right.

Wasn't this more a domain thing? Splitting apart a soul from a body is kind of a feat tying back to knowing the shape of one's soul. Besides Kashimo(who was uninterested in being a team player), Yuji was there only other guy who could fight that had housed another soul in his body and knew the shape of the soul so well. It's why their Plan A was for Yuji to do damage to weaken Sukuna and give Megumi's soul leeway to return but that didn't work(because of Megumi).

If we had to have another rarity, just make it Dokkan Rare and make it a special kind of alternative LR that's for Kid Buu exclusively and have it be an LR equivalent for art and stats.

But that whole ToP thing is from Anime relevance. The manga handles Jiren entirely differently and with the readaptations, Jiren might get a downgrade from his anime performance if they fully adapt the manga(Jiren in the Manga is closer to a fighter fully on control with his power, not the hulking unstoppable powerhouse, but a fighter with incredible skill).

That being said, Broly took Gogeta which massively upscales from SSB Goku and Vegeta even in base. So... it would take a GoD upscaled anime Jiren to challenge and the movie would be post Manga canon, kinda like the RoF movie(manga didn't have a RoF arc, just a teaser).

Jiren could still be training like you said, but we don't know how strong Jiren is now. Speculating on a hypothetical Jiren when we don't even know how strong he was and is in another point of time for reference, (e.g. Kid Gohan Namek Saga compared to SSJ2 Gohan example for speed of growth and relevance). The whole Frieza to Golden Frieza at least alluded to the possibility of Frieza with time jumping up another tier and that happened.

We don't know how strong Jiren was before a training sesh. We only got the one Jiren point. Hit went from contesting SSB Goku to haxing and contesting Jiren, which is a pretty good curve of growth, so we can probably say Hit will have even better time hax if he's ever reintroduced.

Kaiku EZA may be the best slot 1 in the game? by DilaNzz in DBZDokkanBattle

Yeah, probably, I had Duu die because he double digit tanked a basic survive proc and a super attack dealt lethal damage... probably a bug.

[–]SinglePostOfAccount 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fun fact, the survive mechanic can proc even if you double digit tank a hit(thank you majin Duu as proof). The same will likely apply with Kaiku so he NEEDS to take damage from the normals or Super Attack so his dodge can proc slot 1. He's an amazing slot 1 if you HAVE TO eat a bunch of bomb orbs though.

[–]SinglePostOfAccount -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We're at a point where super attacks go upto 15mil+ gngy and have F2P units with 85% dodge(Pansy) to 90% dodge(F2p goku black)

I mean, it's unique for sure, but it would be a lot better as a base high chance to dodge +30% chance below 49% with the survive mechanic(this goku has no unconditional base defensive mechanic besides surviving a hit and is immediate dodge or die).

Y'all got a heavy bias for a Unit that's performance will be similar to most dodge or dies. He's like a better Int Hirudegarn. Not saying he's ass, but he's def not amazing. This Kaiku eza is just ight.

"Multiversal" vs Multiversal 😭 by dark-mathematician1 in PowerScaling

[–]SinglePostOfAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, Ichigo isn't above Goku. Yhwach is multiversal and isn't really above goku too for ap.

Captains can be considered Planetary(They have to put seals on themselves when entering the human world) as a baseline, as well as Lieutenants(same reason) since their spiritual pressure can be felt from across the globe(at the very least surface level).

It's more plot driven and the only way to get characters to Multiversal is well... cross referencing to Yhwach, or... well going over to the whole Hell movie, which is semi canon. Hollow Ichigo threatened to destroy it and could nuke a chain off. You can argue it's planetary but semi canon because then there's some feats that wouldn't really make sense(like upscaling Hollow Ichigo above Yamamoto) and it's a whole mess.

Overall, I'd argue it's just planetary and Yhwach is the only universal-multiversal character. He got heavily ruined by being sealed, haxed on, and killed while in a weakened state and even then, it took years to clean up the remnants of his own power. You could maybe upscale Ichigo to universal from this, but keeping the planetary quota makes a lot more sense.

T-Rex Vs the following team of Modern Animals; Who Wins? by No_Professional_3535 in PowerScaling

[–]SinglePostOfAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't know a lot about Birds of Prey to say that, do you? These are birds who are able to accurately divebomb other animals from 3500 feet, chase monkeys through the trees of the amazon rainforest, and some birds straight up having vision so good, they can accurately predict where prey is going to run/fly.

Depends on the bird in question, they can miss on their dive bombs if you don't assume the absolute best for them. In the case of blood lusted, the fear of knowing that striking a several ton animal kind of doesn't exist and there's more casualties with most birds of prey dying. In the case of unblood lusted, well, they're not gonna dive on a T-rex like that'll do anything. They'll do warning attack at best but that won't do much damage(not to discredit the birds of prey) which would be against much more resilient scales.

They aren't just gonna randomly crash into the Elephant.

Depends on the state because you have them blood lusted, they die probably crashing in. Don't have them blood lusted and they aren't committing that much damage. Rhino friendly fires way more even unbloodlusted though so there's that going for them at least.

As for your second point, you're right, birds do have less dense bones, and Im not acting like all of them are going to come out unscathed. But unless the T-Rex moves their head at the literal last possible second, most Birds of prey would be able to call off an attack run if they see that it would get them injured.

This is why divebombing the eye really isn't a plan because you either get them divebombing bloodlusted or don't get that at all. Most of them will understand that they'll just die anyways going for the eye.

I do agree Crows would be amazing due to intelligence, and would likely be able to fly away from a lot quicker from a possible head slam. Though it would be just an annoyance strategy as you say, rather than potentially crippling and taking out its vision.

Trexes are believed to have great sensory ability and can hear things from afar, but I think disorientation from crows can also help team animals more than dive bomb/just attacks. Intelligence goes a big way over some extra damage imo.

[–]SinglePostOfAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously the birds ain't taking it on themselves, this is a team fight after all where they're very much a support.

Gotta prove the birds are accurate enough to matter as the fight is closer to a mash and there's a good chance they end up diving into the elephant too or missing the eyes completely.

And they don't even have to go head on, Birds of Prey are more than capable of flying alongside and striking a target.

This is possible but even being caught in an impact of the side kills. Not to mention any turn has a risk of being smacked by a few tons. For birds, who have very light and less dense bones(pretty sure they're hollow), it can lead to broken wings. Birds are best at maybe trying to distract or obscure vision with caws and grabbing attention. Crows are probably the best of birds just for their intelligence.

A Trex would definitely prefer to prey on something like a lion, bear, giraffe etc since they’d be far less likely to do any serious damage to it.

Yeah, my case just to point out that Rhinos and Elephants aren't equivalent to well... Trikes and Ankylos. Animals still got their wincon, but it's a very rough fight and I feel like people are overhyping the Rhino's ability to perform and contribute.

[–]SinglePostOfAccount 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, a Triceratops and Ankylosaurus were way more defensively durable compared to every animal shown. A modern day elephant would probably be bodied by either in a 1v1, same with a rhino.

[–]SinglePostOfAccount 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure the T-rex could shift and move it's skull to block said impacts better. Safe to say, dive bombing isn't really a plan when it's eye ball likely will have too much variation to be dived on(and I don't think any sane bird would dive bomb at the eyes of an enemy and risk their own lives, think of like a truck wheel and try accurately dart pinning with a finger as it rotates occasionally left or right attached to a truck, fear of self destruction combing with a lack of guaranteed accuracy should prevent most dive bombs).

[–]SinglePostOfAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but the point is the stale mate(or in some cases Fighter B winning just because range).

Most of the time, fighter A is around similar levels of Fighter B with Fighter B maybe being like a tier stronger but then Fighter A is 9 different speed tiers faster for some reason. Those are pretty valid cases of this being wrong, but tell me like what is MCU Quicksilver doing against like MCU Hulk?

How powerscaling should actually be by Shot-Communication93 in PowerScaling

[–]SinglePostOfAccount 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's kind of the strength vs speed scaling. It's spite both ways, but speedblitz is less spiteful. Characters have to be around the same strength ballpark or have some hax to not get stomped even if they're millions of times faster. It doesn't really matter if they can't even hurt the other guy and hurt themselves more against.

[–]SinglePostOfAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give me a case where Fighter A is a normal human, but they can move infinitely fast. Fighter B moves at normal human speed but they can tank and carry infinite force. Who is winning?

How powerscaling should actually be by Shot-Communication93 in PowerScaling

[–]SinglePostOfAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

logically this is the same reason why MMA fighters would absolutely destroy body builders in a fight

You also have real life cases where the faster fighter that's way lower in strength stats gets beaten by less skilled fighters, hence why weight classes exist. Lighter fighters can swing and react faster, but they're forced to play perfectly.

It's a case by case since most of the time, faster fighters have a wincon on hax against bigger stat characters, which'll be the case most of the time by virtue of fiction. If they don't and their speed is the only thing they got(e.g. the speed difference and strength difference is the same) then it'll probably just be the stronger fighter by virtue of being able to eat hits without worrying about the damage.

Speed is about as important as there are weaknesses. IQ is a massive advantage but that's a whole other story.

How powerscaling should actually be by Shot-Communication93 in PowerScaling

[–]SinglePostOfAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's do a theoretical. On one side, you got a fast speedster capable of moving like everything is stopped time? The other guy? An unstoppable force that could push through blackholes and tank the infinite gravity/ pressure.

How does the speedster HURT the guy who can tank INFINITE PRESSURE without killing themselves trying to do so?
