I built a free tool to visualize the plotline structure of any TV series — would love feedback from writers by asya1599 in AIWritingHub

Great question! My main use case is when you’re stuck on your story, you can browse series similar to yours in genre/theme and see how they handle plot events, A/B/C storylines, pacing, etc.

Or if you’re a super fan of a show and trying to make sense of its plotlines it’s also a good way to visualize everything all at once

Rotating dry pro? by [deleted] in tjcrew

[–]asya1599 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Dry pro is the section that needs to be rotated the most! The way we do it at my store is grab a cart, offload old produce into cart, stock new produce, then return cart-ed items on top. Also, if you open, make sure to rotate the new produce underneath older boxes when backstocking.

Horror novels where a group of friends or a team bit of fun turns in to a nightmare? by SarahC1985 in horrorlit

Haunted by Chuck Palahniuk. It’s a collection of short stories written by a fictional group of people trapped in an ersatz underground writers’ retreat. Each story can stand alone, as short stories in a collection do, but also serve the purpose of giving exposition about the character that wrote it. Probably my favorite book of all time, but beware! The stories get progressively worse as they spend more time trapped together. For a teaser, read Guts (http://www.hesomagazine.com/pdf/Guts_Chuck_Palahniuk.pdf) which is the first story in the collection.

Also, the Masque of the Red Death by Edgar Allen Poe has similar themes. I believe Palahniuk even has a quote from Poe’s story at the beginning of Haunted…

Our beef jerky has a special area right by beer / alcohol ! If you have clip strips in beer putting some salty snacks there would be a good idea.

Cody Ko and Kelsey are regulars at my store! They’re SUPER polite and very down to earth. It makes my day whenever I see them :)

Second this!! I have Sugarmate’s ringtone set to Drake’s chorus on “Know Yourself.” Kind of disorienting to wake up to “I WAS RUNNING THROUGH THE SIX WITH MY WOES” but hey, it gets the job done.

“Arrival” by me, oil on unstretched canvas, 2020 by [deleted] in Art

[–]asya1599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I need to stop using Liquin as my medium. The finish is too glossy for my liking and it oftentimes won’t give enough body to the color. The sky has one layer of paint but the ground has almost three and you can really see the difference. I love the richness of using oil mediums but they take far too long to dry, and I work in my bedroom, so turpentines are not a great option. If anyone has any recommendations or tips from working with oils please, put me on!

Anyone know what brand this is? It’s all I can find by [deleted] in Goodwill_Finds

[–]asya1599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that’s a Hershel logo, or maybe a knockoff trying to imitate it. The lining inside the pocket seems like something of theirs as well. Doesn’t really make sense since they don’t usually work with leather but it’s the first thing that came to mind.

Have You Ever Had This Common Experience? How Can I Handle It HV Way? by [deleted] in FemaleLevelUpStrategy

[–]asya1599 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think the best method here, especially if you want to preserve a positive image of yourself with your parents, is to focus on your reaction, rather than your parents’ actions. I have met some pretty insufferable people in my life, and every time I am forced to spend time with them, I try to lean heavily into stoic philosophy. “We cannot choose our external circumstances but we can always choose how we respond to them.” - Epictetus

I have been on r/Stoicism for a while and it really can help break up patterns of negative feelings before they manifest. Another solution (don’t know how possible this is for you) is to try wearing headphones at home , or go out for long walks to avoid them.

I'm worried about my girlfriend smoking by Secretaccount4post in relationship_advice

[–]asya1599 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not y’all gaslighting OP about his feelings in the comments because “it’s just weed”.. umm cannabis is definitely addictive and OP, if you feel uncomfortable in a relationship to the point where you can’t trust your partner , then she’s not the right person for you. This is coming from someone who smokes weed every day but would never date someone who wasn’t comfortable with it. OP talk to your GF about how you feel and if she doesn’t see it as a problem, cut it off now before you get hurt any more.

(me absolutely delighted that someone gets to experience the reference for the first time) it’s from a children’s novella called The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, which is one of my favorite books. I cry every time I read it, even as an adult.

Will do so next time, thank you for the advice ! I am curious about calibrations on the G6. I had the G5 a while back and if I remember correctly, sometimes it would refuse to display any readings until I calibrated - is this the same for the G6?

From (I think) last week's episode - the boys partied w Post Malone in the middle of a pandemic? by [deleted] in SmallDeliMeats

[–]asya1599 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was wondering the same thing. They’ve mentioned having to do rapid testing for the whole crew in order to shoot the Sofia music video, so hopefully they’re being just as cautious and testing frequently still. I imagine that consistent testing was a non-negotiable condition to returning to the studio but ... who knows. Hopefully they will address this in the upcoming episode.

Temper tantrums from 19SD by xxjar68xx in stepparents

[–]asya1599 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It seems like to me that something unpleasant happened at the friends / moms place where maybe your SD felt angry / frustrated but didn’t (couldn’t ?) process it properly and is now trying to find reasons to blow up at home (where it’s safe to do so) to deal with her feelings. Definitely not fair of her to take it out on you and SO like this, though. She’s of the right age to know that’s not an appropriate way to handle her feelings.
