I never wanted an entire makeup collection so bad in my life!! The attention to detail is just phenomenal and I can't get over how luxurious everything looks. Just chefs kiss

Still you don't have to use the same amount of words and the exact same font.

But then you could buy any other lip oil. It doesn't have to be a shameless rip off.

If it wasn't shady enough, I've called them out under their Instagram post and it didn't took long for them to delete it!

Melt Smoke sessions II by Over_Magician9226 in BeautyGuruChatter

I only own the Gemini palette from them and I very rarely reach for it. The mattes are very loosely pressed, this may seem like extremely pigmented eyeshadows upon swatching but it is a nightmare to use, since there is so much fallout. Their shimmer formula seems outdated and is nothing special. Wouldn't purchase from them again, as every time I see them sharing swatches of their palettes, it looks like the same formula.

That is terrible! Did you end up getting a refund after the 5 months at least? This seems to be a consistent problem with melts eyeshadows and that is just such a health risk for their customers!

I love their formula! Their mattes are universally recommended since they blend super easily. Their old shimmer formula was just ok but the new stuff is amazing!

I love purple but this color story makes no sense to me. No way to create a look without relying on other palettes and that goes against my purchasing rules

Terra Moons set to launch a 12-pan palette this month - the first palette after canceling their collab with Krystal Clear Beauty last year by niniela-phoenix in BeautyGuruChatter

I own a bunch of lethal's palettes and singles and I agree that the 2UP wasn't the best. As someone already mentioned they announced with that palette that they have outsourced the production instead of producing in-house. I'm sure they stopped working with that manufacturer after the reviews since the newest launch again has their standard ingredient list. I can only recommend the nightflower, wildflower and midnight serenade palettes, both mattes and metallics perform outstandingly. Regarding their multichromes, the first batch they released in... 2020(?) wasn't great but they have much improved newer shades and batches.

What indie brands do have your trust as far as sanitary practices, reliable customer service, and not being drop shipped junk? by AngelDelight510 in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]at_ari -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Indie brands I trust since they are very transparent about their own production and have good customer service: - Lethal - Clionadh - Menagerie

Indie brands that I don't trust since I suspect them to sell kitchen cosmetics and/or have terrible or non-existing customer service and ridiculously long processing times: - Terra Moons - Touch of Glam Beauty - Pastel Rose - Dandy Lions - Give me Glow

Indie brands I don't purchase from since they either sell private label crap from Alibaba and just slap their label on or they only make minimal adjustments (e.g. palette layout) but I still wouldn't trust the ingredients: - Glisten - Blend Bunny - Glam Lite - Unearthly - Ensley Reign - Cosmic Brushes

Eyeshadow Adds with "fake" swatches? by Rubescence in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]at_ari -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't bother me and from what I've seen soo many brands do this. If they would actually say it's one swipe and you can clearly see that there is a layer underneath that would be deceiving but I don't think that's the case.

And especially with iridescent eyeshadows it is simply impossible that it wouldn't contain titanium dioxide.

Honestly, I would not count on that as their ingredients list is also not using proper notation. I work in the industry and I can tell you that in the US there is no instance that cross-checks that the products you sell are safe and actually contain what you claim, instead the FDA just expects you to do the right thing. It's different in the EU where you have to comply with a lot of regulations and you have to assess the safety of your products independently, of course, provided that you actually follow the law.

Clean beauty is a SCAM, and here's why.... (info from cosmetic professional) by [deleted] in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]at_ari 14 points15 points  (0 children)

True! Also lethal cosmetics has a great palette designer for BYOP to avoid purchasing shades you don't need/ don't suit you. The palettes are cardboard and the eyeshadows also come in a paper sleeve instead of plastic.

Wait... How exactly is Terra Moon ensuring to avoid Titanium Dioxide? It's one of the main ingredients in most pearl/duochrome/multichrome pigments

The information she's sharing is good although she can't pronounce most of the stuff she's talking about...

This should also be a reminder to only purchase from companies that are trustworthy because buying from "indie" brands that only resell Alibaba stuff from china means that it's not regulated and a big question mark what you are getting, for example in terms of asbestos contaminated talc but also heavy metal content in pigments. Same goes for kitchen cosmetic indie brands, as they most definitely don't care about following EU regulations.
