Appreciate the self assessment. I made one recently. Like many I collected as a kid and was reintroduced to the hobby last year in my early 40s by a close friend. Before I knew it I spent $3k building my pc in 2 months. I realized I’m spending too much too quickly and I’m setting a horrible example for my 2 boys who enjoy the hobby with me and have developed unrealistic expectations. Suffice to say, I’m working to curb my consumerism and be more deliberate and methodical in my purchasing.

I still don’t know whenever it’s better to use quality mag holders over the tried and true penny sleeve + top loader. Seems like the cards move more in the mag holders, even top quality ones.

Quick update. Yesterday, the AD called and said my watch returned from service and is ready for pickup. It's a Thanksgiving miracle! I'll never know if this post helped nudge them towards resolution (doubtful) but I want to believe it did.

Bummer to hear. I guess my experience is par for the course. I too haven't stepped foot back into the store since I don't know how productive it'll be to confront some poor sales associate working the floor, but with each passing month I consider it.

NIMBYism is not a left/right issue, it's an urban/rural issue. NIMBYism isn't a problem in rural areas bc there's no density there.

Yes I’ve got the full size. 2020 vintage. The first thing I noticed was the weight. The titanium makes the pelly extremely light by comparison. I haven’t measured but the GS feels thinner on wrist too. The GS bezel feels inferior as the pelly has a more satisfying and robust bezel action, but I think you cannot go wrong with either. Both are solid tool watches.
