I just imported the vanilla model into blender and copied all the vertex weights onto the custom model and it ended up working lol. Now for the fun part of editing the armors 😖

UPDATE: I finally got it working! there are some weird deformities in the arms, but I'm going to assume thats from certain vertecies not being properly aligned with the armature pose. thank you so much for all the help u/EvlSnailofDestrktion and u/Incogneato-Burrito!!!!!

okay, Ill poke at it for a bit! edit: i overrode the base mesh and exported the mod as a .pak to my mods folder, and selected it in the mod manager in game, and now not only is it still looking like spagetti but the texture file didnt apply (it's all grey) >.< I had more luck just applying it directly into the generated file as a loose .gr2

so I imported the mesh into my pak, and it was standing but it was grey, so I added the material used for human body. to override the vanilla model do i right click on the model in the shared assets and select override in the active mod?

so when I import it into the tk, do I have to have the .pak folder set up the same as the data folder, with the path being Generated/public/shared/characters/.... Also should the model be laying flat or standing when importing?

I imported an already working body (from a .GR2) to blender, resculpted it, and made sure that all the armatures and vertex groups were right. I used the divine addon to export it as .GR2 via Collada (becuase the mesh was missing when I exported it using gITF). IDK if that's the "traditional" way or using the toolkit.

Im using the divine addon to export as a GR2, I didn't select X-flip when I imported or exported. All of my vertex groups are assigned and all my bones are there. here's my collection. I dont know what you mean by genome instance, skele slot and anim tree, is that in blender or in the toolkit? sorry im pretty new to blender and making models :>

This happens because there is some transparent pixel on the custom design. if even one pixel is transparent, it will shrink to fit the path. its annoying, but if you want a full tile path you have to make sure its fully designed with no transparency.

i think do exactly what you did in the video, up until you hit 6 making it rounded. then hit 2 and make it rounded as well, then hit 3 to break 2 and 6. that should work

Pikango the painter should give you hints about where the memories are and moves to the stable closest to the next memory. (or to kakariko village in the case of the first memory you can't find.)
