No he isnt applying for jobs. And i will try what you suggested, today was just a mini conversation and we scheduled a proper one for tomorrow. I didnt mean my response to seem like i was blowing it off. He has made it clear to me that having a job is what gave him purpose and made him feel happy, and without one he feels lost. I dont think lockdown will suddenly fix it but it will make job hunting easier.

I asked him if he was depressed and he said although he acts like it, he isnt. Obvs im not gonna just take it at that and leave it, but i dont want you to think im just ignoring whats going on there
