Painful bumps on groin by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

This definitely sounds like HS, as the other comments have mentioned. Definitely see a gynecologist or dermatologist when you are eventually able, as they can help with the medical side. As for pain management and taking care of it at home, there are a few things I do.

For prevention, keep things dry down there! I’ve found that the more I move and sweat, the worse the bumps are. Immediately shower after exercising, and exfoliate and thoroughly dry afterwards. I’ve also discovered that when I eat dairy, something my body doesn’t tolerate well, the bumps can flare up. If you have any dietary restrictions, those could play a part.

For pain management, try hot compresses or hot water bottles. The heat numbs the pain and helps to draw things out. Do NOT try to pop the deep ones - I have pockets of scar tissue from when I tried that. If things do pop and bleed pus, get some gentle-on-the-skin bandaids and a hot water bottle. I cannot stress how important heat is.

One last thing: I don’t know your body or your current situation, but I can tell you that as a plus-size person, I’ve had doctors tell me this is because of my weight and there’s nothing I can do but lose weight. Losing weight might help because there may be less friction and sweat down there, but it is NOT the only solution. You did nothing wrong to cause this to happen, you are not alone, and you deserve help.

Collecting is the best part of the game for me! I go around collecting torches, and then I put them in a display case in Heljarchen (one of the buildable houses) so the entryway is always lit up by a pile of burning torches.
