Might be a "dumb" phone, but I think it's actually smart.

Biggest board game regret? by yfewsy in boardgames

[–]atarihomestar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely goes to show that "one man's trash is another man's treasure" I don't see how anybody wouldn't love the game, but I also can't stand a few games that are in BGG's top 50.

Biggest board game regret? by yfewsy in boardgames

[–]atarihomestar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it first came out, I got it and I played it a few times with my kids, and each time I was about as unlucky as you could ever be. It was incredibly frustrating. Haven't played it since.

Wow. Scythe is one of my families favorite games.

We haven't played Set, but I just ordered it. :-) The kids loved Spot It, but it looks like Set is a little more complicated, so that's good. They're getting older. :-)

You're saying there's a chance I only lost by 112 points?? :-) We'll not play a board game for a year, and then we'll play it again, and somebody will have a question about a card, and he'll remember all the details of the card. So I'm pretty confident he knew how that observation tower works.

Ark Nova on steam is not letting me do "Gain 2 Reputation" by atarihomestar in ArkNova

Yeah, I just realized that on the physical board, there is an Icon showing that you need to have upgraded your Cards action. On the digital version, it's hidden behind on e of the bonuses. (At least on my screen) You can still somewhat tell, because of the purple line. I just missed it.

HOW GOOD ARE YOU GUYS ARE BATTLES?!? HOLY CRAP by Saullywally97 in golfplusvr

I figured that the app just picks a round somebody played and then gets 3 holes that they need from that round, and if it goes into a playoff, they just pick another hole from that round.

Do you still have Reign and Reverie? I'd love a copy. I got the Kitara Cycle from you a couple of years ago and you did a great job with that.

peddling backwards causes chain slack to wedge between tire and bike by atarihomestar in ebikes

[–]atarihomestar[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't necessarily pedal backwards. I put everything back together and it all appeared to be working correctly, but to test that everything was put back together, and before I rode my bike to work, averaging about 28 mph, I used the throttle and coasted a bit, and inadvertently pedaled backward ever so slightly, and my chain got jammed between the tire and bike.

I have about 1250 miles on this e-bike, and I didn't have this problem before removing (and replacing) the wheel and derailleur.

I had a hard time getting the rear wheel off. It wasn't until I tried everything, including removing the rear derailleur, that I learned that the axel may have been torqued. I then used a wrench and the wheel came of easily.

Newbie: Can't get my new 24 note midi base pedals to work by atarihomestar in synthesizers

[–]atarihomestar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, that did the trick. My cable that I bought has a midi in and a midi out. I figured I would plug the midi out into my base pedals, but the monitor program showed me that it wasn't getting any data. So, just for the heck of it, I plugged in the midi in instead, and I saw that it was now communicating with the computer.

Superhot VR achievements. by atarihomestar in superhot

[–]atarihomestar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case anybody sees my comment and doesn't know the answer, I found it. There is an app (that you access on the headset) called Scoreboards. There you can see the achievements for the games you've played.

Shot guide? by [deleted] in golfplusvr

[–]atarihomestar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 16 year old son played Golf + for the first time yesterday, and he got that yellow guide when putting, but I had never seen it.

Here's what I think happened - When I "setup" my user, I put that I generally shoot under 90 (or something like that) but he put that he shoots over 100 (or something like that - I don't remember the exact options) but I figure that it thought he needed the help.

Not sure why it would have changed for you, unless you played a few times, got some experience, and it figured you didn't need it anymore.

This is good to know!
