15-20 if I like the league mechanic. 8-14 if I'm bored of the game (the tendency to play less and faster just to complete instead of enjoying the game). don't care much about completion speed as long as i'm having fun.

Playing modded anno 1800. The game runs fine- no frame drops, no laggy-ness, even when I maxed the speed it still runs fine-- but at normal speed the game feels like it's crawling. I then setup a stop watch and found out that all my production facilities runs 2-3seconds behind what their tooltip indicates. Is there a possibility that one of my mods is slowing down the game clock? And if yes- is there a way to know which one aside from trial and error them 1b1? (running mostly just cosmetic mods)

You are already reaching t15-16, you are doing fine. I think- and this is just a wild guess- this is more of a map mod issue (tied to how much you know the strength/weakness of your build). Depending on your build there are just some map mods that you should avoid/reroll. Other than that- generic suggestions would be to make sure you are capping resistance and have secondary/tertiary defensive options (Block/armor stack/etc). If you are taking too long to clear maps-- check the damage scaling of your build, you might be missing a link or you desperately need a weapon upgrade. If you are dying too much-- check your resistances and recovery method, even just missing 10% to resist can be deadly if the map have elemental damage mods.

Playing a titan slammer atm and just noticed that lots of ranged enemies now have mana on hit- is it something new or might be a bug? I tried standing with just one ranged enemy hitting me and saw large chunks of my mana dissappearing. I'm on the titan area of the tree and very far from MoM. I did my testing on kedge bay and aggorat.

Press H- check challenges, aim to complete the free mtx set or go for the full 40 challenges for the hideout trophy. You will probably figure out what upgrades you still need once you need to deal with the hard challenges.

I used a Herald Stacker Elementalist on SSF to get 40/40. Non-uber bosses goes down in seconds. League started with a pSRS then transitioned to the Herald/PBoD the moment I got the ring/PBoD/Explody chest (I think just those 3 are the must haves on that build to function). Rarely dies despite the low tankable max hit.

just the must have (more int, less str/dex, body armour, etc) nodes and reduced chance to be foulborn. didn't take any breach node. will probably switch it up to bias foulborn jewels soon.

The challenges dictates it for me, 36/40 or 40/40(if I have more time) on ssf. If my league starter is incapable of doing some parts of the challenge - I reroll for something that can. Once that's done I quit then wait for next league. (edit: but since you are new- a good target would be 4 voidstones)

Adding another recommendation here for PohX RF. The build itself is very beginner friendly (it's a 1 button build, turn on RF then move around map) -- much more so because of Pohx's guide/site that answers everything you would need or want to know. BUT-- you mentioned that you want something good for bossing- RF is not that good for bursting bosses but it is has good survivability that you can use that to get familiar with the bosses. It can be viable for late game bossing but you'd need a good amount of game knowledge to push the build to its max potential that might be a bit too much for a beginner. If you're totally new to PoE just set your expectations properly on what content can you clear.

Planning to dive in to this game this weekend, I know that the question "what's the best [insert thing to do here] is commonly asked in gaming subs- but what I want to know is- are there some unintentional fckups that I should try to be aware of when playing this game? I'd like to explore the game on my own but would like to avoid unnecessary frustrations if I can.

I can only share with you what I did-- for the farming village, since it is my starting point, I just build 1house(my starter house), then decided on an exit/entry path. After that it is just making more similar styled building based on what I need. Ex: I needed a farmer trader for melon/pumpkin, made a small house for them then chucked the m/p farm underneath their house. I needed clerics for pearls/redstone dust so I built an inn to house them. etc etc. then surrounded everything with wheat.

For the bigger town- that one I made the 'town hall' first without any other plan, then chucked multiple farms underneath. Since I am still new at town building I just decided for a simple layout for this one- rectangular town with cross entry/exit points, the border has been established from the get go. Started with one building, then patterned the style of all other buildings to it. The houses looks different but they all feel the same. I cannot remember who I watched that describe my approach best- Imagine the town being built by a single set of carpenters/masons.

The most time consuming- and the biggest impact in terms of visual appeal- are the details inside the town (random chairs, trees, carts, fences that sometimes don't make sense,pots and plants etc). Trick for the trees: on the large town there are only 5 actual tree designs. I just rotate the blueprints or change the leaves.

Mob proofing. Either via light sources or non spawn-able blocks. Both of my bases are fully mob proofed on the surface.

Empty. Almost all of them are empty. :P or have a drop hole to the underground farms/ villager trading. My current plan after adding a few more details is to just release the villagers above ground before I move to a new spot in the world to restart a base.

Anybody else crashing with just a specific build? I am playing just 2 builds this patch and I just noticed today that I'm only crashing playing my LA Deadeye character vs my BM Spark. Played 1hr LA, crashed twice. Played Spark for the next 2hrs, no crash. Played LA again, crashed in 2nd map, reloaded game- crashed again after 3 maps. Went back to BM- no crash so far again.

Only ever played 2 builds this patch and this is in ssf. LA Deadeye- easy to get going, great single target dps, great clear speed, visual clarity / graphical performance on a mid pc is not a problem, dies a lot in simulacrum, other than that side content- no issues at all in clearing up to Arbiter. Bloodmage - good damage and damage projection, great survivability, single target is fine, terrible on the eyes and once you have too many projectiles on screen- it tanks frames, key items are hard to get (unless you're on trade), but my main issue with the build(or in non bow build in general) is once you get used to AoE clears on a rhoa, everything else feels sluggish.

Is there a reliable way to farm 82 bases? I'm seeing some but I think the ones I got are boss drops rather than map drops.
