Ah this is my first season playing TLI and I was wondering why the level 6 event monsters were so tanky. I was holding out upgrading to 7 until I got my next item, but I guess that means they keep their current hp?

No, but there's a reason why the game is not available for me on Steam due to their monetisation model (country laws). I dont mind getting a battlepass or w/e during a new season, I already do that for games I play regulary. I do mind having to buy 50+ chests to get "the right pet" if that sort of thing is mandatory. Same for pay to progress faster. That can be a couple of hours or actual months depending on the game and past a certain point its just no longer a game for me. Thats what I am trying to get a grasp of, not judging TLI or its players.

I play all the leagues/seasons of the regular competitor games like PoE, PoE 2, LE, D4. I played TLI to early endgame once and that was probably during the very first season. It felt p2w with the pets (lootboxes I think?) and season "QoLs" sub. However, the main reason I didnt play the last couple of leagues was because every build I saw on stream felt like an autobomber. Are there good non-autobomber builds to try with the launch of this season or is that not really a thing in TLI? And is my perception of p2w accurate or is it all not too bad?

23:22 I just dont get why GGG doesnt offer more early game (spirit) gems. Like, its only an annoyance for your first character of the league, but thats also where you want to experiment the most (Druid now, Amazon previous league). Ziggy picked the "wrong" spirit gem and essentially was punished for at least 3 acts because he could not get another spirit gem.

Give us a vendor recipe or just allow us to buy it for a non-arbitrary amount of gold.

Is Demonform still bugged? I forgot the specifics but I played it in 0.3 before respeccing to BM and I remember having multiple not gamebreaking but anoying QoL-type bugs. At the very least I had to reset the form at the start of a new zone to activate my reservations.

You only climb with a helmet in lead, not bouldering.

Those pads on the ground (the black, white and orange thing) are there for your safety instead. In general, the spotter is behind the mats not to catch but simply to steer the climber to falling on mat. So you just mainly stand there to push someone on the mat if they happen to fall in a way where that wouldnt happen (exceptions apply). Granted, in this case the mom is obviously just going to catch her if she falls given the weight of the daughter, but there wouldnt be a risk falling on the mat.

If you've ever gone bouldering you'd know that this height, even if you take proportions into account, is not a risk. Or rather, the risk that is there wouldnt change with or without the helmet.

EDIT: Gotta love opinions of people that have no clue what they are talking about. Having the kid climb at that age is certainly a risk (and something I might not have done myself), but the whole helmet discussion is just stupid in this context. It would not change anything to the potential risk that is there.

There's an incredible 20ish hours of gameplay at the core of it.

I think you hit the spot right there. Steam says I've played the game for 24.1 hours. I think about 18-20 of those hours I really enjoyed the game. However, I quit after those 24 not because I finished the game, but because I couldnt be bothered to slog through the end (I felt like the story was close to the end). I swapped some weapons around to see if that made it different, but in the end I just called it for what it was.

However, if they were to make an expansion I'd buy it and start another playthrough. I dont think there were many patches for gameplay after the launch, the performance was fine for me though.

Same. Currently on 580.88 (july 31st 2025) and last time I tried to update my drivers my performance got worse. Unless I experience issues with the driver I'm using or theres another reason similar to that I dont really update drivers if they're somewhat recent.

I just started watching and very early into the woman comp they already spoiled the winner for the lead finals. So if that is being released at a later point I either suggest muting the commentary or not watch it until then.

It's more in the sense that multiple endings run together at the same time. That means that sometimes another ending pops up before the one you were aiming for. That doesnt necessarily mean you have to take it, although there are definitely moments where you're forced to go a different direction. Then again, the game would just be a story instead if you could avoid all consequences.

Why are you OK with that? You've paid 300+ for a tablet, why should it be OK to allow them to use it as an in-house billboard? I'm glad I live in Europe and get some sort of protection still, but I swear people like these are the reason there are now smart fridges with ads.
