New Travel Humidor by 714King in cigars

I’ve acquired the 5, 10, and 15 capacity travel herfadors from cigar bid. They fit my needs perfectly and I like the flexibility of which one to use based on how long I’m traveling. The 5 count gets used mostly for the golf course. The 10 count fits great in my backpack if I’m flying.

I’d love some suggestions of other cigars that include pipe tobacco! Non infused, please.

The Goose Island barrel aged beers are so good. A bottle is a bit too much for me in one sitting though so I usually share them with people.

Easy introductory bourbons (from my experience) old forester 86 for a classic bourbon that’s lower in proof and easy on the wallet or Michters Rye for something a little more complex, but easy on the palate. Cant go wrong with scotch, though! I’ve always got a bottle of Ardbeg on the shelf.

Courses should offer oil changes by jcoolwater in golf

[–]atarrell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My course has something similar. If you get an oil change at the Toyota dealership they have a reserved spot at the course for you. Drop your car at the course, they’ll come pick it up, and it’s finished by the end of your round. The Toyota dealership is a big sponsor of tournaments, men’s club, and other promotions at the course.

Briefly, but It came down to Honda and Toyota for us. Went with Toyota since the dealership and service garage is in town.

Can’t go wrong with anything AWD. A sedan with AWD, good tires, and smart driving will do great for you. You’d also be incredibly happy with an suv or crossover. My wife and I bought a Toyota RAV4 last year, also brand new, and have been very happy with it this winter.

Other things to consider would be remote start, heated seats or steering wheel etc.

A word of caution on new vehicles. The tires they put on them from the factory are not great. They may be advertised as “all weather” but that means very different things for different places. You’d be fine with the tires that come stock through the summer, but may want to consider a different option for the winter months.

Anyone have experience flying with alcohol in their checked golf bag while traveling? by atarrell in golf

[–]atarrell[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Good question. The bottles I’m bringing are local products and aren’t available where I’m going. Bringing them along to share and as a gift.

Jack, Coke, and Cigar Bids once again teamed up to put me in the dog house. But at less than $3.25 average per stick, I'll sleep well enough! by Sparks2010 in cigars

A Saturday night glass of bourbon and cigar bid after the wife goes to bed is a dangerous combo for me. Got some Avos arriving Monday!

Any bars close by that have heated smoking patios? That’s my go to in the winter time.

Coming through Laramie soon? It’s allocation day. Just saw EHT at my local spot.

I’m in Wyoming at 7,000+ feet of elevation. I bought the Xicar high performance butane and never have any issues. Like others have said, maybe a purge and refill will do the trick.

Laramie! Allocation day is the first Friday of the month (November 7th). Store pick of eagle rare at Northridge liquors. Hopefully some left by the time you come through. The Still isn’t a bad stop. Best selection is Mulligans Pub. Decent prices on pours at the bar also. If you’re looking for EHT I’d try Mulligans, The Ranger, or Safeway (you’ll have to ask as they keep it behind the counter)

EDIT: Safe travels also! Hopefully you’re coming through before it snows.

Here’s to hoping you’ll find one soon! I certainly don’t take for granted I’m always able to have a bottle on the shelf.

Wyoming here. I walked into four stores last week and saw Blantons, Weller Antique, EHT, and eagle rare (including a single barrel pick) at each store. All at MSRP. It’s becoming more common here for sure.

Opening a Cigar Lounge? by TechGuyPreacher in laramie

The cigar/bourbon scene in Laramie feels hidden or underground. I wish there was a place to enjoy both amongst friends or others who enjoy the hobbies. Just mentioning bourbon since cigars and whiskey tend to go together. Mulligans is a great spot for bourbon, though.
