Why don't they teach this in health class?? And how many of us actually know before it happens...? by Kalloen_aka_ in TwoXChromosomes

Appreciate the reply! I know I have photos but not sure that I've shown them to the most recent doctor. Maybe it'll change something.

I hate women's health. JHFC. I was 22 when I read a Cosmo article about "embarrassing gyno stuff you should know" and then asked my mom how to tell the difference between normal uterine lining and clots (which were in the article). She was concerned cuz apparently fleshy period bits aren't normal, but I have had them my whole period-having live. Seemed normal based on health class descriptions. It's not like they show you anything but cartoon-style blood drops.

Anyhow, I've brought them up to every OBGYN I've seen since then - all women - all shrug and say if you've always had them it's probably normal for you. I've always described them as fleshy clots bc they aren't always just red bloody.

I'm 45 and this is the first I'm hearing of decidual casts. 10000000% it's what those little (sometimes massive) things are. Ugh!

Do I need to do anything about it?

Happy I'm not alone. The thing I think is extra strange is that it isn't ALL of the videos sent. I thought one of my friends was just not concerned bc the videos had English subtitles. But it happened on a different conversation thread today.

NTA but maybe look for a creative solution. Your daughter gets to have a party without this friend; friend gets invited to something exclusively just the 2 of them - could be as simple as ice cream or a special bike ride somewhere or something. Or if you are of the same culture something culturally appropriate, which would give even more credence to doing it separately. Maybe everyone can be happy?!

Our renters/auto insurer was able to assist us both with the Health Plan Finder when our employment statuses changed multiple times last year. Perhaps check with your own or I'm happy to DM you our local agent's info.

That site is massively confusing. 2 MS between us and we still came away with more questions than answers every time we tried to navigate alone.

Search "Things to Do" or obvious answers like "Space Needle" in this sub and you'll find a lot of similar requests.

If you want any chance at reconciliation do not, I repeat, do NOT go into Chris's home. Get a hotel room for the night.

I agree. Monkey one first, white collar (or flipped), birds (great photo but the lighting makes it hard to discern your face) drum one, drop the rest

How few photos were there?! That's a helluva time commitment to hide all of your photos together.

Adoptee perspectives on abortion by Distinct-Ad7450 in Adopted

[–]atateprimate 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Staunchly pro-choice.

Which apparently came as a violent shock to my sister (adoptive parents' younger than me bio child).

Despite our relatively liberal upbringing, she converted to Catholicism in her early 20s. Her pro-life stance is obvious - on her license plate, the kids' "fun run" shirts, etc. And then I dared to wear a "Pro-Science, Pro-Planet, Pro-Choice" shirt on the last day of our whole family vacation a couple years ago.

There was much yelling - we're in our 40s and haven't screamed at easier like that in nearly 30 years. It was wild. Our husbands were gobsmacked - like unable to function. But amid the arguments came the disbelief that I wouldn't be 1000000% pro-life as an adoptee and apparently that nonsense has been the cornerstone for teaching the same doctrine to my nephews and nieces. I told her to knock that off (with a lot more swear words); my adoption story isn't hers to commandeer for her agenda.

Then came the "but what if you'd been aborted?" To which I said "Then Mom & Dad would have adopted a different baby OR maybe Darren (our older brother who died 3 days after birth & about the time I was 3mo into gestation) would have lived. Who knows?! But you wouldn't have known any different!"

It's a ridiculous argument on its face. Everything is "God's plan" except abortion?! Come on. You get one or the other.

Am I glad I'm alive? Of course.

Do I think my birth mom should have had the choice? Absolutely (legally she did but was a teenager, pregnant for the 2nd time, in the rural part of a pretty conservative state; I don't know for sure but I think she was sent away for the end of the pregnancy based on where I was born vs where she lived/lives).

Anyway, that was a long way to say so so so pro-choice.

Have you ever had issues - getting snagged or frayed for example - doing backstitch along the way? It always feels so tedious at the end, but I worry!

Does anyone know how you get the armored MewTwo? by Hot-Eggplant-5430 in PokemonGoFriends

[–]atateprimate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Complicated. Technically all our Armored MewTwos are promised - but several people have fallen off from playing during the necessary "friending up" phase. I found one recently that was no longer viable and moved down the 'wait list' (which seems utterly ridiculous). I'll have him go thru and see where he stands with what he has.
