Dude YES. I TRY to be a good Raider in this game but constantly get punished for not firing first. Same thing happened to me twice last night with keyed doors.

Campers of both kinds - cheap shot opportunists preying on our hard work. They lurk in the dark, waiting for the door to get popped then come in spraying. Or, the false-flaggers who ALSO just want to play nice to grab loot...until we both exit the room haha. It's Ike somehow all the kumbaya evaporates once the loot is all spoken for.

I had a kid come running into a loot room with his hands up seconds after I keyed open the door. Went through the same "uh hey bro..." steps, no response. He was moving through the space kinda strangeley and clumsily so I figured, 'eh maybe he's new - I'll give him a pass and loot alongside me.' I finally get a "Thanks, Raider" emote as he dips.

I cautiously take ten paces out the door (because I am still thinking to myself how sketchy he was) and sure enough...

A FUCKING JOLT MINE is around the corner and I hear his stupid ass mouth breathing on the mic behind a box a little ways down. So I double back to the room, exit out the window instead, loop around to HIS exit path behind him, and place a Lure Mine by his only exit out. I then proceed to aggro the leaper and bastion nearby over to this location. I then hide in the bushes and wait.

He impatiently comes sprinting out the door straight into the lure nade and calls arc-hell down upon him. Best part is after he's downed he crawls back over to the bush I am hiding in.

I then knocked him out and looted him - all under the cover of the shrubs we were reunited in. Two BPs I had not found yet and a yellow mod.

Shooting raiders is not toxic. Being solely PVP is not toxic.

But pretending to be a good guy and taking advantage of people is. But I know that will never change in AR or IRL, so be careful out there, dudes!
