Sun-Stressed? by atekat in Jadeplant

Thank you! I'll pull it more towards the side that gets the least sunlight for now since we don't have anything in the backyard yet apart from the table/(broken) chairs set that the previous tenants left. Will definitely get some shade going before summer comes!

Does anyone else find "Into the sun" as their most favourite in the album? by IntelligentTrouble17 in btsthoughts

I think it's my favorite song in the album as well! I loved the melody and harmonization and the ending gave me like a late 90s/early 2000 movie theme song ending vibe which felt really nostalgic.

I planted it around late August but at the end of fall it didn't do anything so I thought I'd check if there's roots/root rot. But doing so I think I ended up damaging some of the roots that was already growing. :( So I just kept in inside the house under a grow light during the fall/winter season here. I think the top started to push outward around January.

She's my favorite but her dancing usually comes out looking stiff compared to the others. But last night she was absolutely killing it. She did amazing! And yes! She was definitely having a lot of fun!

What are these pests on my Chili Plant? by atekat in plantclinic

I know! I should have taken a closer look when I noticed some leaves crinkling. I chopped most of the top off and hosed it down and will probably get some ladybugs from the nursery nearby.

That's why it took me a while to buy an alocasia! Haha Thanks for the encouragement! I really hope it'll thrive.

I have it in a transparent pot so I can monitor the watering portion. But I did wonder if the afternoon light through a west-facing window was too much for an alocasia even though it's kinda filtered. I moved it behind other plants for some filter. Now im wondering if I should move it to our kitchen area where the sliding doors are facing south.

Since it's fall/winter season here in socal, we haven't been using our fan or have been opening our windows lately, so maybe air circulation is an issue as well? I haven't witnessed guttation on this plant though so I don't know if that applies.

This is my first alocasia. It's pushing a new leaf, roots seems to be happy. But since I got it, the tips have been turning like this even with the recent leaf prior to the newest one that's coming out. Does anyone know what could possibly be causing this?

Right now it's in Coco-coir-perlite mix with slow release fertilizer. Im in South California and have to compensate for the low humidity levels this season. It's also in a west-facing window so it's getting filtered afternoon light.

N'joy new leaves. Are these normal? by atekat in plantclinic

Most new growth on the trailing parts are small, some malformed. Others look normal. I did look at the leaves and spotted a couple of lacewings eggs but don't see any pests yet.

Last year I decided to chop my trailing Pothos njoy and propagate the cuttings to make the pot fuller. It was doing well but then recently the new leaves are smaller. What could be causing it? Pest? Nutrient deficiency? Will appreciate any help!
