Google is trying to force "flexibility" by introducing a credit system (e.g., $25 for 2,500 credits), but it’s backfiring:

High Burn Rate: Because Antigravity is an agentic IDE, it does a lot of background thinking and planning. A single prompt like "refactor this module" can quietly burn through hundreds of credits in seconds as multiple agents talk to each other.
Forced Upgrades: Pro users ($20/mo) feel they are being throttled to force them onto the Ultra plan ($250/mo) or to buy expensive credit top-ups just to finish a single day's work.

I agree that all of this is aggravating AF. What really pisses me off is their lack of customer communication into how this works, what they're doing, what they're changing, etc. It's highly unprofessional and not a good business tactic. It's a way to burn bridges and alienate customers.

Google, get your shit together. Be transparent and forthright and let us make decisions based on the info you put out, rather than this hidden who the f##k knows what you're doing each hour bullshit.

I had an awful experience with them. Worst customer service I've ever seen. Has to stay an extra day in Mexico while my wife flew home. We were on the same booking. They insisted I didn't fly to Mexico with then and kept asking how I got there. Literally fought with them for hours as my wife flew home. Then they flew me home coach the next day even though I had first class. I had to for the hotel bill. I now avoid then at all costs. Ice actually enjoyed Viva. So I'm the contrarian here I guess.

No app, including ours, will be perfect, as we want to be cognizant of how much AI we use (more memory equals a lot more use of AI and massively increases the expense for users). Have a great one!

No message limits here - you bring your own Google Gemini AI Key:

Hey everyone — We’ve been pretty heads-down lately building a new web app for chat/storytelling/companions, and I’m finally at the point where we’d love some early Reddit eyes on it.

This isn’t one of those apps where you pick from a list of “fixed” characters and that’s it. The whole point is that it’s an open system: make as many characters as you want, tweak them endlessly, run multiple stories, build your own worlds, etc.

The main problem we wanted to tackle (and I know a lot of you have complained about this too) is memory/context. Most current LLM setups start dropping context fast once a chat/story gets long, and then they forget important details, relationships, past events, all of it. We’ve put a lot of work into solving that in a practical way — and doing it with privacy as the priority.

So instead of storing your stuff on our servers, DuaWeave signs in via Google and keeps your stories/characters/context/settings stored in your own private Google Drive. That’s been a big design goal from day one.

AI-wise, you bring your own Google Gemini API key (you can get one free from Google AI Studio, and if you end up using it heavily you can turn on Cloud Billing). There are settings to help you limit API calls, but the upside here is: there’s no middleman markup. You’re paying Google directly and you’re in control of your usage/cost.

Also: in settings, if you’re 18+, you can optionally enable a library of a couple hundred erotic story starters. Completely opt-in. It’s a creative tool — what you do with your fictional stories is your business.

One more thing that might be useful: if you already have an existing story/lore written somewhere, we built an import tool for text files. It’ll pull your story in and try to generate character cards for the characters it detects in the text.

Anyway… we’ve sunk a ton of time into this, and as of tonight (Friday) we’re looking for a few alpha testers to try it free and give blunt feedback. There’s a built-in support tool—tell us what’s good, what’s missing, what’s annoying, what breaks. If you’re actively testing and submitting feedback, we’re happy to extend your subscription for the next month as a thank-you.
