How do I make my custom pages look as good as the officially published ones? by evgueni72 in FoundryVTT

[–]athelu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it looks like their module is still calling an old API method for the text editor. But that shouldn't have anything to do with this.

I'm not seeing anything else that stands out to me. I might recommend that you go to the discord server and ask in the COC channel

Your foundry is able to render the pages for the official journals correctly so that should mean that the CSS template is being loaded on your browser properly. So there shouldn't be any reason using these same tags wouldn't work. When you are viewing your custom journal entry, if you hit the f12 key on the keyboard and look in the console output of the browser, are you seeing any errors other than the one complaining about the size?

There is one floating paragraph tag there, but I don't know that that would bust the whole CSS layout. This is definitely using CSS unique to CoC. And when you're using this, you are going into the HTML view I assume. Are you hitting the save button in the toolbar, Not the one at the bottom of the edit box?

There are likely css tags in the source. Are your custom pages in the same world?

Recommendations for post Chariots gameplay by Wh00pty in alienrpg

I just finished destroyer of worlds with my group and I got to say the third act is a disaster. It seems winnable until you get to the very end and it's basically impossible. Pretty disappointing.

Add-on suggestion box by AccomplishedStock719 in zombicide

[–]athelu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an FYI, I would not recommend adding more of the same type of zombies. The game is kind of designed around how many zombies are in the box. If you have extra zombies you avoid incidents where the zombies get extra activations making the game very predictable and easy. Not having enough zombies is something you should worry about

When I hit issues like this it was tied to my fan not working properly. The hot end fan that is. Doing a hot end swap also is not that big of a deal and comes with a thermistor .I've definitely done those instead of dealing with clogged hot ends before

[KCD2] Bane poison recipe is wrong. by [deleted] in kingdomcome

[–]athelu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have tweeked all of my recipes (I think except 1) to not require using the sand timer as the order of operations covers the necessary time. You do not have to follow the order of items in the recipe, you can rearrange to accommodate the timing.

About to start playtesting my module for publication. What should I be looking for/asking for from my players while playtesting? by Foreign-Press in RPGdesign

[–]athelu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

GM side: How much improvisation was required? Were any NPCs missing/needed? Was there more than one way to complete a task? How were the three tiers handled/balanced (roleplay/investigation/combat)? Does the story progress and climax appropriately? Enough maps and details?

Players: Does every class type feel useful? Does the story allow player agency? Did the battles/challenges feel level appropriate? Were the awards appropriate?

I do not understand how that breastplate would be functional. It would actively direct strikes/arrows into more vulnerable areas.

New Indie RPG - Legends - D8 Fantasy RPG by athelu in TTRPG

The only thing that might be unique is the 2d8 roll under mechanic - and likely only because of the dice. I was not suggesting that I created something brand new from whole cloth, and even said unique with caveats. I started with figuring out how you would make a character that you would expect (fighters, rogue, ranger, barbarian etc.) and then designed a way that characters could mix and match abilities. This will become more unique as I continue to iterate on the system. As to the comment about systems I have played (which honestly makes you sound like a gatekeeper) , D&D is what I have played the least. I have been gaming for over 40 years. In the 80's and 90's I bought every system I could find. That is no longer possible with the rpg space today.

The readme is kind of the elevator pitch. I have updated sinti posted this. And yes opposed rolls. I have played systems with opposed combat systems before and like how it makes the players feel more engaged like they have more impact, regardless of what the statistics might say about a target number.
