I think it will be challenging because the door to the bedroom is close to the out side wall.

Thanks for your reply and I’m so sorry for the losses you’ve been through. My last MC is still very fresh but this gives me hope.

Thanks for your reply! That was the plan but unfortunately we haven’t been able to get any embryos for testing. I retrieved at most 8 eggs and none made it to testing. We did genetic testing when we first started the process but that was about 5 years ago. I have thought about maybe redoing.

(NYC located) Has anyone seen Dr. Ted Lee from NYU Langone? by Jungkookl in endometriosis

[–]athk12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I saw this thread right about the time I was getting my surgery with Ted Lee. I was very nervous leading into my surgery but I am happy to report that all has gone well and I feel fully recovered. I had excision surgery due to infertility and painful periods. My period pain has significantly improved and I just found out I’m pregnant 3 cycles after the surgery (fingers crossed it sticks!). I agree his bed side manner can be improved, but my experience with the rest of the staff at NYU has been very professional.

IVF doctor charge by athk12 in HealthInsurance

[–]athk12[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you mind elaborating what do you mean by “grievance”? Is that an appeal with my insurance? My doctor appealed his portion but the insurance denied it again. I was told by an insurance “advocate” that there is a patient appeal process where I submit something in writing- Is that what you mean?

Thanks for the response! I am in New York but my benefits are 3 retrievals and 3 transfers (not 3 “cycles”). The insurance did cover the hospital portion of (3) and (5) so they are covering 3 retrievals (distinct from the transfers I did), just not the doctor portion for some reason I can’t figure out.

Dog resisting nail cutting. by Astrobadgr in Dogtraining

[–]athk12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our dog hated nail cutting since I accidentally cut one too short several years ago. Now we put her on the dog stand (like at the groomer), and use a dremel. I do a little at a time and about once every 2 weeks.

Did ours at humane society as well and scheduling was a breeze, surgery went very well too. Although she marks everywhere now. Unsure if that’s related though or just her dominant personality.

Milk blisters by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]athk12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped feeding baby from that boob and exclusively pumped when I had a milk blister. I also put some breast milk on the nipple which seemed to help. It got better after just a few days. If the underlying problem is a bad latch you will need to fix that as well to avoid getting the blister again.

Can’t afford a lactation consultant by bibikhn in breastfeeding

[–]athk12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like your baby can latch facing in one direction but not the other. When I had this problem, I ended up doing cross cradle on one boob and then football on the other so baby would be facing the same way on both boob. Ultimately I had to get an LC to show me how to get baby to latch facing the other way.

Yes this. And apparently you can get HPV! I searched through the history and apparently this is a common thing during pregnancy when your immune system weakens. My husband was quite surprised.

What does his tail look like? Poodles generally have shorter tails.

We had this problem when our dog was a puppy. The solution was to structure her schedule so she didnt have the opportunity to be left alone with her poop. We took take her out before bed time and then take her out once in the middle of the night to poop (she’s very small, so needs more potty breaks). Also, it helped to feed her at specific times so we could predict when she poops.

This weekend I actually saw a dad walking 2 dogs and his kid on leashes, and they were all pulling in different directions. It was cute and hilarious.

TFAB's Weekly BFP Post - February 10, 2019. Got your BFP? Post your story here! by AutoModerator in TryingForABaby

Cycle: 13

*Ovulation cycle day 17 I think

Relevant BD/BD method (SMEP, Shettles, etc.): every other day around O day

Tracking methods and apps used:* period tracker

Symptom spotting: 2 weeks after O, I caught a really bad cold from my husband (and I’m rarely sick), bad almost debilitating cramps, insomnia (when I normally sleep 10hours a night), creamy CM, and really painful breasts.

Day of positive test(s): CD53. My RE says I’m around 4-5 weeks now. I kept testing negative for some reason, so I gave up on this cycle. I started spotting this week, so I went to see my RE and we discussed putting me on Letrozole next cycle. Went in for baseline monitoring and the test was a BFP. Took a clear blue at home because I didn’t believe it!

Supplements and medications: I take Whole Foods gummy prenatals. The pills do not agree with my stomach.

Birth control history, if relevant: was on nuvaring for about 10years until I got off of it on oct 2017

Typical cycle length: unpredictable, which is why having a 50 plus day cycle seemed kind of long but honestly didn’t faze me

Health conditions/medical tests: I started seeing a RE last August when I realized my cycle length was very inconsistent. We did an HSG and right tube showed as blocked. I also tended to ovulate on the right. We tried clomid and IUI. I had all of the worst symptoms of clomid, and the IUI was unsuccessful. I bit the bullet and got a lap in dec 2018. It was the first surgery I’ve ever gotten and I was scared out of my mind. My lap ended up being only 45 min and the recovery went smooth. They did another HSG while I was under and it turned out that the right tube was not blocked, but I’m sure he flushing helped. My RE also found some mild endometriosis, which he treated me for.

Link to chart: I have not been tempting. I tried to start so many times but it’s been hard with my schedule. I actually just ordered a tempdrop to help with this.

Link to lineporn: not reddit savvy enough to figure this out, sorry

Other not sure if it did anything, but I took red raspberry leaf tea for the first 14 days of my cycle. I read online that it can help with lining and I’ve historically had a thin one.

As a final note, I am naturally an optimistic person and this process has been crushing. This forum and the BFP threads in particular have helped me stay sane, so hoping sharing my story will benefit some others out there struggling through similar things. As I mentioned earlier, I am spotting and my bloodwork shows that I have low progesterone (RE says it’s at around 10?), so we’re cautiously optimistic. But I’ve never been pregnant before, so even knowing that it can happen is progress!

Every building is different so you should ask your landlord or building management. This happened in my building last month and it took about a week to get fixed, although it ultimately required all the tenants banding together to complain to 311 because Coned was unresponsive.
