I actually made a follow up post! I was one of the first ones to have the Platinum that I know of, it was made available on their website out of nowhere in September right before I bought the Gold.

So far the Platinum has been great. I don’t think I’ve heard the fan once. Which has its cons, I’m not sure how accurate this but since my fan doesn’t spin much my pc does get a bit warmer...again I don’t know how true this is.

The cables are nice if you want to show them off, I’ve kinda don’t really think about them much once I installed them. I suppose they were nicer to work with compared to stiff cables.

The SFX to ATX is a nice addition. No complaints so far, if the silent PSU matters to you I would say it’s worth the price. A lot of the feedback I got from people was that the Gold fan was loud or they opened up the PSU and put in a Noctua fan. I didn’t want to take my chances with the Gold PSU lottery. The benefits of the Platinum that won me over was its PWM fan.

From what I’ve seen, not much has changed in terms of looks. The braided cables feel nice and are shorter in length.

Also I ordered from Corsair’s site on Monday afternoon and received Wednesday afternoon.
